«Breaking News» Four thrillseekers scale 200ft crane without safety equipment

This is the nerve-wracking moment four urban explorers climb a 200-foot crane without any safety gear - only to be arrested when they reach the bottom.

The clip, filmed at a construction site in Ilford, east London, captures Owen Reece as he scales the unmanned crane with three friends.

The thrillseekers jump over a fence into the building yard before entering the crane and climbing a series of metal ladders.

At one point, the cameraman bends over the side of the crane to give a view of the steep drop below.

But the group soon run out of ladders to scale and continue up the crane using the exterior of the yellow machine.

Below, traffic on the dual carriageway is seen moving extremely slowly as sirens can be heard in the distance.

One of the group said: 'Literally police are at the bottom of the crane. But we have to climb to the top'.

As he speaks, the small silhouette of his friend can be seen climbing up the exterior of the crane below him.

Another of the group then points out more police he can see gathering below.

The volume of the sirens suddenly rockets as police and the London Fire Brigade race towards the scene.

'Oh no! A police officer was running towards the crane. Yeah, sprinting,' one of the urban explorers said.

'There is so much police. This is crazy - they're all looking up at us.'

After standing at the very top for a moment, the four men descend the crane only to find three police officers waiting at the bottom.

The four men, in their 20s, were then arrested on suspicion of causing a public nuisance at 4pm on January 19.

They were taken to an east London police station but released with no further action, a Metropolitan Police spokesman said.

Onlookers were said to be screaming 'get down' during the stunt on Saturday afternoon.

Eyewitness Michael Fishenden, 27, said: 'I was just pulling up to Sainsbury's to do my weekly shop when I noticed a tonne of people outside a pub gazing up.'

Mr Reece's Instagram account, which has 10,000 followers, is full of photographs taken from the top of cranes in Amsterdam, Canary Wharf, Battersea, and Bath.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
