«Breaking News» Facility where woman in vegetative state gave birth to baby previously received multiple citations

The healthcare facility undergoing a sex abuse investigation after one of its patients in a vegetative state for 10 years gave birth was cited multiple times over the years.

A female patient at Phoenix, Arizona's Hacienda Healthcare — who was in a vegetative state as a result of an incident in which she nearly drowned ten years ago — gave birth on December 29 after apparently being raped at the facility some months earlier.

Despite having received round the clock care, a source told AZ Family that, 'None of the staff were aware that she was pregnant until she was pretty much giving birth.'

Staffers had been giving round the clock care to the female patient, but didn't know she was pregnant until she started moaning while giving birth

Staff apparently only figured out that she was giving birth because the woman 'was moaning. And they didn’t know what was wrong with her', according to the source.

It's believed that even though the woman is in a vegetative state, she is said to have been able to feel pain during the baby's birth.

'There’s no doubt she was able to feel pain, but how much consciousness there was to really take the suffering from that is what I don’t know,' OB/GYN Dr. Greg Marchand told AZ Family.

The baby boy is said to be healthy, despite the woman not having received any specific prenatal care.

Marchand, who was not involved with the woman's care, pointed out that, unlike traditional childbirth, the woman in the vegetative state would not have been able to push the baby out, giving room for the potential of severe complications or even fetal death.

Documents obtained by AZ Family revealed that the Phoenix Hacienda Healthcare location had previously been investigated in 2013 after an employee was heard making sexual statements about residents and even watching them masturbate.

Other records obtained stated that a man complained that he was uncomfortable over the fact that staffers routinely cut through his shower room on their way elsewhere, which a staffer said had become a 'bad habit' of theirs.

A government, Medicare database for the facility currently ranks Hacienda with one out of five possible stars — 'much below average' — in the overall category.

It received two stars for its health inspection rating, one star for its staffing rating and two stars for its quality measure rating.

AZ Family reported that Hacienda had previously had a five-star rating, but starting in 2018, ratings started to tumble, landing at its one-star rating for October to November 2018.

It's unclear exactly why the ratings dropped off so steeply, but Brian Lee of non-profit advocacy group, Families for Better Care, told the AZ Family that it appeared that the facility does not have many staffers at the moment, but that it did have high levels of staffing when its overall rating was high.

A Hacienda HealthCare spokesperson said in a statement obtained by AZ Family that the facility could not comment on patients or ongoing investigations, but that it was working with law enforcement and other government agencies regarding the incident involving the vegetative woman's childbirth.

The Arizona Department of Health Services stated that it had responded immediately to an onsite complaint at the facility and that it subsequently required 'heightened safety measures.'

Among the changes, is the fact that male staff members wanting to enter the room of a female patient must be accompanied by a female staff member as a result of the incident.

The exact amount can not say because there are many nuances. It will be necessary to build a small laboratory with certain parameters. To all interested persons please write on an email angocman@gmail.com . It is the scientific project and I do not know whether it is possible to earn on it. The probability of success of the project is approximately 60%. That will be very interesting.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
