Britain's Top 100 Dogs Live
Winterwatch
Her Majesty has called for unity and an end to national divisions — so this probably isn't the right moment to point out that there will never be a telly show called Britain's 100 Favourite Cats.
Cats are great, of course. They're clever and companionable, elegant and intriguing. Lots of cat-lovers will tell you that felines are superior, and of course they are entitled to their opinion. But that doesn't make them right.
Dogs are best, the most loving, intelligent, playful, wise, gentle and protective creatures on earth. They bond us together like no other animals: every dog-owner knows that, when you meet a stranger out for a walk with their own pet, the two of you are instantly on friendly terms. You have something truly important in common.

We discovered that Harry Redknapp (pictured) has Bulldogs called Lulu and Barney
A cat might be able to tell how you're feeling, but it rarely cares —even if you're weeping buckets. A dog intuitively understands and shares your emotions.
This has been a Public Service Announcement on behalf of the Dog Party. Please vote Dog, and Make Britain Woof Again.
Sara Cox and Ben Fogle must be fully paid-up members of the Dog Party. They presented Britain's Top 100 Dogs Live (ITV) like a couple of hyperactive Labradors, bounding around the screen as they hailed every breed from Great Danes to Mexican Hairless Chihuahuas.
We discovered that Harry Redknapp has Bulldogs called Lulu and Barney while Penny Lancaster is besotted with her Cavapoo Bubbles. They do say dogs grow like their owners, and Harry is definitely the Churchillian type.
Penny is married to Rod Stewart, so she's used to diminutive drama queens with unmanageable hair. I've got a Cavapoo and she's a right little Rod Stewart.

But who would guess that Olympic gold medallist boxer Nicola Adams owns a fluffy Pomeranian, named Bailey? She must have a secret softie side.
The countdown through dozens of breeds was fun, even if the top ten were a tad predictable. But the best part of this show was the unexpected doggie stories.
Some were daft: Dally the Jack Russell befriended a bad-tempered pony called Spankie and now loves to ride on his back, like a circus act. Others were truly moving. English Springer Spaniel Max helped his owner Ceri in the Lake District recover from a profound depression following a car accident: 'To try and explain the bond between a dog and a human — they look right into your soul and see everything that's going on,' he said.

Millions of owners will understand what he means. If you still don't want to vote for the Dog Party and are feeling a bit wild, vote golden eagle, pine marten and salmon, as Winterwatch (BBC2) moves north to the Cairngorms National Park for a year in the Scottish Highlands.
This informative format, packed with unscripted moments of natural drama, really comes into its own with the three-week Springwatch special, once the weather warms up. Winterwatch is the prelude, introducing us to the landscape over four nights this week.
Earlier this month I chatted to presenter Chris Packham, who was worried that viewers might laugh at his layers of thermal padding. 'I do tend to over-tog,' he admitted.
'But we're standing still for ages, and it can get really cold. If I went for a walk, I'd probably melt.'
The discomfort is worth it, with some of Britain's rarest animals on show — what Chris calls the 'childhood exotics', the ones he has wanted to see since he was a boy. Me and the dog will be watching agog from the warmth of our sofa.

Cats are great, of co...
It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
