Camilla told Lorraine she signed up for Love Island to help widen perspectives on the kind of stars who would sign up for the ITV show, adding that her romance with Jamie has helped in changing those views.
She said: 'Obviously Jamie is a big part of that, but within the show I did go on this journey.
'The real reason I went in there was to break down some of the social barriers, so to come out of that a happier person, my life has changed so much.'

Back to it: Camilla told Lorraine her relationship with Jamie has helped to widen social views, saying she signed up for Love Island as someone who never normally take part in the show
She went onto reveal that her and Jamie have grown accustomed to playing hilarious pranks on one another, after a video circulated of him pushing her into a lake while on holiday with their loved ones.
Sharing how she got her revenge on the hunk, Camilla said: 'I froze one shoe from every pair of shoes he had and so he had to go the premiere in a pair of sandals, he wasn't very happy about that!'
The star's chat comes as she made a return to her work as a bomb disposal expert for the one-off special What Camilla Did Next, giving fans an inside look at her job before taking part in Love Island.
Sweet: The star first coupled up with Jamie on Love Island 2017, and are one of very few pairs on the show to have gone the distance
'Cambodia is where I started out, so there were a lot of memories there for me anyway, I always miss being in the field,' Camilla explained.
'You'll see tonight that these mines look very ominous and they do still function even decades after conflict unless someone does something about it.'
'I would love to do that, to keep reconciling my post and pre Love Island life, the struggles I've faced on that and it coming together, I've reached that and Jamie is such a big part of it too.
'We've got lots of projects that we're planning together, but sometimes you've got to take things as they come.'
The next step? It came after Camilla also teased that wedding bells could be on the horizon for her and Jamie in an exclusive interview with MailOnline
It comes after Camilla teased that wedding bells could be on the horizon for her and Jamie, as she spoke exclusively to MailOnline about her upcoming show.
The couple have now been dating for 18 months and Camilla hinted a reality TV wedding could be possible in the not too distant future.
When asked whether she and Jamie plan to tie the knot, she told MailOnline: 'We haven’t said if it's on or off the cards so we’re just seeing how we’re getting on. We’ll see what’s happening.'
Camilla added that she and Jamie love hearing about other Love Island marriages after series two runners up Olivia Buckland and Alex Bowen tied the knot in September, followed by Jess Shears and Dom Lever from her season in October.
She said: 'It’s about being in the right place at the right time.'
Camilla was initially unlucky-in-love during her stint on Love Island, but things turned around towards the end of the series when she met former Calvin Klein hunk Jamie, with the pair finishing in second place behind Amber Davies and Kem Cetinay.
Close bond: The Scottish beauty discussed being 'lucky' to have found such a connection with the male model, 28, on the reality show (pictured in July 2017 on Love Island)
The Scottish beauty admitted she feels very lucky to have met her long-term love on the show.
She told MailOnline: 'We were quite fortunate in that we met and had this amazing time on the show which was three weeks from the end, so we had this incredible experience on Love Island. I was just really lucky.'
The television personality is now continuing her reality TV run with ITVBe show What Camilla Did Next, which will follow the daily lives of her and Jamie while also documenting her return to the minefields of Cambodia.
Camilla said her upcoming show will give viewers an insight into their relationship outside of Love Island and said she's excited for the public to see a different side to Jamie.
She said: 'People always think we’re so glamorous but they don’t see us stuffing our faces or covered in dog hair.

'We’re very lucky because we’ve been able to truck along, living our lives together, seeing how things go'.
The loved-up couple found that their relationship 'naturally progressed' outside of the reality show when they found similarities between themselves, but credited an 'incredible experience on Love Island' for bringing them together.
Camilla told MailOnline: 'We were just so so lucky with meeting each other. We both say it’s really bizarre that in the last 18 months there’s so many moments where we’ll find these odd little crossovers between us.'
The charity worker won over a legion of fans when she stood up for her feminist principles during a debate with her villa partner, Jonny Mitchell - who later dumped her for Tyla Carr.
Camilla explained staying true to herself during her time on the show is the way she found lasting love.

She said: 'Be true to yourself. There’s just no way you can keep up an act. If you want to find love the best thing is to be yourself otherwise it’s not worth it for either of you. It’s a really intense environment and there will be ups and downs.'
Camilla said she didn't go on the show expecting to find love, but to get out of her comfort zone after struggling to socialise after living an isolated life while destroying bombs in the likes of Afghanistan, Cambodia and Zimbabwe.
She said: 'When I’d been outside my comfort zone that is when I progressed and things really changed for me and so Love Island was the most terrifying thing.
'It was all of the things I could imagine I was bad at, it seemed like the perfect place to push myself to re-socialise.
'There’s no way to avoid it when you’re in a villa with a group of other people, there’s just nowhere to hide, but in the best way possible when it’s like I have to confront this kind of fear and push through it.

'I ended up coming out with a relationship, which was a very happy turn of fate but certainly nothing I expected going onto the show and I was very very lucky on that side of things'.
In What Camilla Did Next, the TV personality will be seen back on the frontline as she works with charity HALO trust clearing out mines, which she admitted was an 'amazing experience'.
Camilla said: 'It's a story basically, the first half is mine and Jamie's life here and our experiences post-Love Island, what it's like being a couple in the public eye.
'The second half is the Cambodia side of things, I meet families who have been affected by landmines and you get to see a land mine being destroyed on the show and what the process of clearance is.
'It’s very interesting, it’s the two different sides of my life coming together'.

Aside from potential wedding bells, Camilla said she and Jamie are looking forward to travelling together in the coming year.
She told MailOnline: 'Jamie and I have got a couple of big trips planned this year but to be honest we just want to try and enjoy the moment and live in it.
'I always think that’s why Jamie and I have been so lucky since Love Island because a lot of the experience we’ve had, we’ve really got to go and enjoy.
'We’ve both taken our time with it and waited to see what happens.'
What Camilla Did Next Airs on ITVBe on Wednesday at 9pm.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
