Great British Bake Off host Noel Fielding is facing a backlash from neighbours at his plush London pad over plans to build a rooftop terrace they fear will be used for summer parties.
The comedian and former Mighty Boosh star, 45, has asked Camden Council for permission to make the alterations to his top-floor flat in Highgate.
But neighbours have objected with fears about increased noise and thumping footsteps - as well as concerns Mr Fielding is missing an opportunity to fight climate change.
One reply said: 'We already normally hear loud thudding when the occupants upstairs move around during the day and night. We will find this added noise extremely intrusive.'
One respondent, pointing out planned internal changes will put a staircase directly over the flat below, wrote: 'The loud thump to be heard every time someone reaches the bottom tread is easy to imagine'.
The neighbour added: 'If the flat roof were retained in common ownership it could in the future unobtrusively support a full array of solar panels ... which would contribute to the fight against climate catastrophe.'
Another reply to the planning application made the same points, saying: 'The flat below will suffer from increased noise from the use of the new internal staircase and all the flats increased intrusive noise from additional occupants and from parties held on the roof terrace in summer.'

The letter went on: 'If this common area is used as a private roof terrace this will preclude ... generation of electricity by photovoltaic panels or small wind turbines.'
Mr Fielding has lived in the flat with his girlfriend since 2010, when he paid £950,000 for the property. Property values in the capital have continued to skyrocket over the last decade.
His application to the council, necessary because the flat is situated in a conservation area, also asks for permission to install dormer windows and a rooflight.
His architects wrote to the council acknowledging that the council had previously said it was 'supportive in principle' of the roof terrace, but asked for it to be 'more discrete'. Since that would mean they wanted his terrace to be more separate from surrounding architectural elements, they may have meant 'more discreet'.

Planners are expected to make a decision next month.
Noel Fielding is best known for co-presenting Channel 4's the Great British Bake Off alongside Sandi Toksvig and Paul Hollywood, after the show's move from the BBC.
From 2003 to 2007, with Julian Barratt, he co-wrote and starred in The Mighty Boosh, a surrealist comedy on BBC Three which went on to have a successful stage run.
Liana Bird, his partner of nine years, is a Radio X presenter and charity founder who four years ago helped launch Help Refugees, a voluntary organisation aimed at improving the lives of refugees across Europe and the Middle East.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
