«Breaking News» Amber Davies brands 9 To 5 co-star Louise Redknapp 'one of my favourite humans' in a heartfelt tweet

Amber Davies has taken to Twitter to wish her 9 To 5: The Musical co-star Louise Redknapp a speedy recovery, after the singer was forced to quit the West End show ahead of opening night.

The pair were due to hit the stage at London's Savoy Theatre on January 28, in front of the show's music and lyrics scribe Dolly Parton.

But Louise fell in the street on her way to rehearsals on Tuesday, sustaining injuries to her face and wrist, and later told by her doctor to rest for two months, not now set to join the performance until the end of March.

Amber, 22, took to Twitter to express her upset over the incident, posting a snap of the pair alongside the caption: 'Well. I leave you for 2 mins!! Wishing one of my favourite humans the most speedy recovery! I can’t wait to be beside you as we play leading ladies together❤️'

Amber plays the role of Judy Bernly while Louise was set to play Violet Newstead - roles made famous by Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin in the 1980 movie, on which the musical is based.

But a replacement is being sent in to step in for Louise, following her accident - although it's not known who this will be.

Amber will also be joined by actress Natalie McQueen, playing Doralee Rhodes, the role Dolly portrayed in the film.

A shame: Natalie also tweeted, posting - 'Beautiful human @LouiseRedknapp, please get better ASAP! Sending you all of the love sweetheart❤️'

A source close to Louise told The Sun: 'She went to hospital and had stitches. Then doctors told her she needs time out and can’t do the show.

'She is obviously completely devastated because this is a dream role for her. It doesn’t seem fair.'

The production team at The Savoy Theatre are hopeful Louise will pick up where she left off, returning to the role in March.

They have released a statement on the matter: 'The recovery time recommended means Louise is no longer able to properly rehearse the show in the remaining time left before opening.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
