«Breaking News» World's longest aircraft Airlander 10 dubbed The Flying Bum is set to go into full production

The world's longest aircraft, dubbed 'The Flying Bum'  is set to go into full production to take its first passengers to the skies after successful final tests.

It comes after the Airlander 10 prototype was retired after it collapsed and plummeted into a field.

Bedford firm Hybrid Air Vehicles (HAV) has been given production approval from the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and it is hoped it shall take to the skies by the early 2020s.

In 2017, the Airlander 10 hit headlines when the 20-ton aircraft crashed in Cardington, Bedfordshire, and a woman was taken to hospital, less than 24 hours after completing its sixth successful test flight.

Following the crash chaos, HAV made a £32 million insurance claim, telling shareholder this was the 'maximum insured value'.

Now the firm have said they changed their focus, and are producing Airline 10 for customers around the world instead of developing prototypes.

Stephen McGlennan, the firm's CEO told the Guardian: 'Many people ask me this question – when will Airlander be flying again?

'My answer is this – look for many, many Airlanders flying again, ready to be delivered to customers and used around the world'.

After approval European Aviation Safety Agency and CAA, the firm say it is in strong position to launch production'.

The original mode cost £25 million to produce and was sued as a surveillance aircraft by the US army, before HAV bought it for civilian use.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
