Sabrina Thomas, 26 (pictured), was taken to a Florida hospital for a mental health evaluation after having an epic meltdown at a Fort Lauderdale airport Sunday evening
A woman who was caught on video erupting into a furious tirade at a member of JetBlue staff at a Florida airport this week has now been identified as a resident of California, who was committed to a hospital for a psychiatric examination in the wake of the bizarre incident.
The passenger, identified by the Broward County Sheriff's Office as 26-year-old Sabrina Thomas, of San Marcos, California, was scheduled to board a JetBlue flight on Sunday evening.
Instead, she unleashed a furious verbal attack at an airline employee standing behind the desk, calling him and his colleagues 'rapists' and claiming she was armed with a gun.
Thomas, who is white, also ranted about hating 'white people' and white police officers.
According to an incident report obtained by DailyMail.com Tuesday, a sheriff's deputy responded to the F concourse at the JetBlue Terminal 3 at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport for a passenger causing a disturbance shortly after 5pm Sunday.

The deputy wrote that when he encountered Thomas, she threw a duffel bag at the wall and hurled her passport on the floor.
'She then threw at me a boarding pass that she ripped into several pieces,' the report stated.
Citing the passenger’s 'aggressive actions,' the responding officer said he grabbed her hands and restrained them behind her back.
After the 26-year-old reportedly ignored multiple verbal commands to turn around the sit on the floor, the deputy 'directed' her to the floor and handcuffed her, at which point the woman 'again became irate and started to scream profanities.'
Thomas, who is white, was quoted as yelling, 'I'm racist against white people, I f***ing hate white cops.'
Thomas was eventually escorted off the concourse and transported to Broward General Hospital as an involuntary Baker Act patient after displaying what the officer termed as 'bizarre behavior' and making 'irrational statements.'
According to a supplemental report, prior to Thomas' outburst and subsequent run-in with the deputy, she was waiting to board a flight when a JetBlue staffer noticed that she seemed unwell and asked her whether she had been drinking, or is currently on medications.
Thomas replied that she was OK, and denied any alcohol or medication use.
She was about to proceed onto the plane when the 26-year-old reportedly yelled out, 'Go f*** yourself.'
The crew member in charge of the boarding process then told Thomas to wait five minutes and then addressed her again to see if she could be cleared to fly.
At that point, the woman reportedly started to yell, 'I hate white people' and 'white people raped me.'
The California resident, who was scheduled to fly on JetBlue on Sunday, screams at the member of staff in front of horrified passengers
When the staffer went to rebook Thomas on a different flight at a help desk, she unleashed the now-viral tirade while attempting to climb over the counter.
Another sheriff's deputy who was called in as back-up wrote in his report that Thomas appeared delusional and mentally unstable.
'She displayed erratic mood swings which went from crying to silent and still to very loud and aggressive without warning,’ he stated.
Footage captured at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport shows the female passenger screaming at the staffer after she was denied entry to the plane due to signs of intoxication.
Some passengers at the airport had been delayed for 10 hours by a canceled flight, but airport staff said Thomas had faced no such problems.
The clip, which was captured by musician Post Malone's manager Dre London, was later posted on his Instagram page and has since gone viral.
Thomas hoists her body off the ground and onto the JetBlue counter as she continues her verbal attack. She furiously shouts at the member of staff and calls him a 'rapist' before threatening that she has a gun
Following the incident, footage shows Thomas sitting on the floor with local law enforcement around her
The video of the woman's airport meltdown was recorded and shared by Dre London (pictured left), who is the manager of singer Post Malone (left and right)
In the recording, Thomas launches her body above the desk and bellows: 'God damn it! Who does that to a woman like me. Who?'
As she hoists her body off the ground and onto the JetBlue counter designated as a help desk for Cuba flights she carries on her verbal outburst by calling staff 'rapists' and threatening that she has a gun.
She continues: 'Get me out of here! Get me out of this sick f***ing place! Get me out of here! Get me out of here! I have a f***ing gun on me because I'm homeless!'
The infuriated traveler then picks up a large, green duffel bag and walks away.
On Instagram, Dre London wrote: 'I wake up this am to my video going viral & many calls including @foxnews.
'So yesterday I was stuck in the airport for 10hrs as #JetBlue flight was canceled due to computer failure.
'They said we would send another plane from New York but this took many hrs.

'While in Fort Lauderdale airport everyone remained calm apart from this woman who went crazy on #JetBlue staff called him a rapist & she said she had a gun.'
In a second video posted by Dre London the woman, dressed in a checkered skirt and flip-flops, is seen sitting on the ground as a police officer asks her to 'calm down'.
Following the incident, a JetBlue spokesperson told Yahoo Lifestyle: 'On January 6, crew members at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport requested assistance from local law enforcement after a customer was denied boarding for indications of intoxication and became disruptive.'
In 2010, Thomas' older brother, Derek Thomas, then aged 19, made headlines when he survived a fiery car wreck that left him with burns to 85 per cent of his body, which required dozens of skin grafts.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
