«Breaking News» 'Maybe he thinks he's met his match!' Ocasio-Cortez on why Trump hasn't tweeted about her

Liberal freshman lawmaker Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez claims President Donald Trump hasn't attacked her on Twitter yet because 'maybe he thinks that he's met his match.'

The Democratic lawmaker and Republican president are social media fire houses in their respective corners of the political world but Trump, who is not shy about blasting his rivals on Twitter, has yet to send any shots Ocasio-Cortez's way. 

'I'm not sure,' she told The Hollywood Reporter of not being a Trump target. 'I think as nuts as this guy is, one thing he does have an expertise in is media and branding and marketing. And I think, I don't know, maybe he thinks that he's met his match.'

President Trump often uses his twitter account to lash out at his political rivals

Ocasio-Cortez has generated more interactions - retweets plus likes - on the social media site than party leaders Obama, Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer.

In fact she came in second only to the president when Axios measured the Twitter star power of several politicians. 

And she trails Trump by millions - Ocasio-Cortez came in with 11.8 million interactions while the president easily outdistanced her at 39.8 million interactions.

Trump has 57.3 million twitter followers

Ocasio-Cortez gets more bang for her buck though. She only has 2.3 million twitter followers to the president's 57.3 million.

The freshman lawmaker, who took office in January, stunned Democrats in June when she beat sitting Democratic Rep. Joe Crowley in their primary. 

She's become a force in the Democratic party since her win and has made her mark on Capitol Hill in the three weeks she's been a member of Congress.   

She's taught a seminar to her fellow House Democrats on how to utilize social media, she led a march of freshman lawmakers to Senate GOP Leader Mitch McConnell's office to demand an end to the government shutdown and appeared on 'The Late Show with Stephen Colbert' to talk about her meteoric rise.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
