'Mental health is a f**ker.'

During an appearance on ITV's This Morning in 2017, the star said: 'It's about time we got rid of this stigma and this grey area about mental health.

Kerry was mercilessly mocked when she made an appearance on the same show back in 2009 and slurred her way through her interview - which she has repeatedly insisted was a result of her medication.

But speaking about mental health on the show years later, she said: 'I feel amazing. And I've got to say, this phase of my life I've never had so many wonderful compliments: "You're looking really well. You're glowing.''

Open: Kerry added that a large part of the stigma surrounding mental health issues is that they're invisible to the naked eye - and thus often get dismissed

'My psychiatrist said to me, 'Tell the public you've had drink and drug problems, but not mental health issues... Because they can't see it they can't understand it.'

The Cheshire native said that such attitudes led to her children's peers branding their famous mother 'crazy' during cruel playground taunts.

Kerry lives with Bipolar disorder, which is  is defined by bouts of depression as well as hypomania, which can cause irritability, sleeplessness and hyperactivity.

Bipolar II is said to be difficult to diagnose, although the difference between bipolar I and II is that bipolar II sufferers won't have experienced a full manic episode.

Quizzed about the fallout from her own mental health 'coming out' on national television, Kerry said it was difficult to deal with people not believing her and instead blaming her well-documented alcohol and drug problems.

She explained: 'The stigma that's around mental health, people think you're crazy.

'My psychiatrist said to me let the public know about drug problem, the troubled childhood, but not about my mental health. If you can't see it, you can't understand it.'

During the live interview in October 2008, presenters Phillip and Fern were clearly worried about her state and told her they had been contacted by concerned viewers.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
