«Breaking News» Jodie Comer and Claire Foy lead the Brits at the Critics' Choice Awards

Claire Foy, Jodie Comer and Gemma Chan led the British glamour at the Critics' Choice Awards on Sunday evening.

The actresses stayed true to their impeccable red carpet style, each turning heads as they arrived at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California.

Leading the pack was The Crown star Claire, 34, who looked the epitome of sophistication in a one-shouldered black diamante jumpsuit, while Jodie was just as stylish as her Killing Eve character Villanelle in a semi-sheer Broderie anglaise gown.

Claire opted for the understated black ensemble to show off natural beauty as she took to the red carpet.

Featuring a chiffon blouse with an asymmetric sleeve, the screen sired drew attention to her slender waist with a crocodile print belt and tailored black cigarette trousers.

She complemented the diamante studs with bejewelled sandals and silver earrings, while she wore her cropped brunette locks in soft waves. Claire finished off the look with a pink lip, blush-swept cheeks and black eyeliner.

Gaining recognition for her role in the industry, Claire received the #SeeHerAward, and was introduced by last year’s winner Viola Davis.

'In preparation for this evening I watched Viola's speech that she made,' she said, adding to laughter from the audience: 'Don't ever do that. One because you end up just watching five hours of acceptance speeches but also because you realize how profound and elegant Viola is.'

Claire said she struggled with the idea she was worthy of the award, saying her initial response was: 'I've offered nothing and I have nothing to offer.'

However, after thinking things through, she came to the realization that: 'The greatest privilege of your life is to be who you are and I've realized that that's all I have to offer - to be myself.'

She said she hoped that viewers of her work would: 'recognize themselves on screen in someway and see a thought or an emotion onscreen and they can see themselves.'

Referring to her role as Janet Armstrong in First Man, she said: ''She lived her life with such braveness.'

Claire said the role would normally be 'just the wife'.

'There's no such thing as just the wife and that's our job,' she said, 'to question' how people were portrayed.

Meanwhile, Jodie, 25, dazzled as she walked the red carpet in her glamorous gown.

The actress' co-star Sandra Oh picked up the gong for best actress in a television drama last week at the Golden Globes, so Jodie was no doubt hoping that Sunday would be her night.

Jodie looked the picture of elegance as she posed on the red carpet, wearing a semi-sheer floor-length gown which featured leafy applique all over.

Her gown offered just the right amount of glitz, adorned with delicate sequin decoration from head-to-toe, covering her slinky shift dress underneath.

She was one of the first to step out at this year's Critics' Choice Awards, but we think Jodie Comer may have already taken best dressed!

The young actress channeled her fashion-forward Villanelle alter ego in a jaw-dropping designer gown for the festivities.

Featuring gorgeous cape-style sleeves and lots of dreamy lace, this Zuhair Murad gown is an ethereal piece that had us all falling instantly in love.

We love how the star kept the rest of her look simple with loosely curled hair and nearly-nude makeup, letting the dress really take centre stage!

With Christmas over, all we can think about is the upcoming summer months, and we think this floaty white number would be the perfect pick as the days get warmer.

Unfortunately, the luxe piece can't be shopped, but click right to browse more from the celeb-favourite label. Alternatively, if you've got a formal event on the horizon, make sure to check out the edit below for our roundup of top lookalikes.

You'll be feeling like a real Hollywood A-Lister in these looks!

The star wore her locks in soft glamorous waves, while accentuating her attractive features with light touches of pink hues of make-up.

Following her nomination at the awards, Jodie admitted that she was taken aback by the international success of Killing Eve.

The series, which also stars Sandra Oh in the title role, follows MI5 officer Eve Polastri as she becomes obsessed with hunting the mysterious assassin known as Villanelle.

Gemma Chan also looked sensational as she stepped out to support the film at the 24th annual ceremony.

The 36-year-old actress didn't hold back with her outfit choice, sporting an incredible eye-catching gown adorned with a purple floral print.

Gemma's dress appeared strapless, however it featured a sheer fabric across her chest, offering the illusion that she had opted for a Bardot style.

The Humans star rocked the daring number which boasted ruffled detailing around the top before fanning out into an elegant skirt, which she pulled off effortlessly.

The dress was belted around the middle with an elegant satin ribbon, clinching her slim waist, and even featured a train which followed her down the red carpet.

Looking good: Gemma's opulent look, which mirrored the style of the film, was accessorised with a pair of chic drop earrings but otherwise let the dress do the talking (pictured with co-star Harry Shum Jr)

She wore her glossy raven locks swept back into a plait, which also featured black ribbon tied around the two ends for an added touch of glam.

Gemma, who is dating Mamma Mia's Dominic Cooper, showcased her natural beauty with a bronze pallet of make-up and a nude lip.

It's been a good year for Gemma who starred in the Box Office smash hit Crazy Rich Asians and moved in with hunky Dominic.

Gemma found herself thrown even further into the spotlight, after starring in the film, released earlier this year. The high grossing film has made $235million to date and is the first blockbuster in 25 years to feature an all-Asian cast.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
