«Breaking News» Jeff Bezos opens private investigation into how National Enquirer obtained sexts with Lauren Sanchez

Jeff Bezos' personal security team has reportedly opened an investigation into how his text messages with mistress Lauren Sanchez ended up in the hands of The National Enquirer.

The texts were at the center of the Enquirer's bombshell report about the affair, which was published the same day Bezos announced his divorce from wife of 25 years MacKenzie earlier this month.

The messages dating back to April contain language that ranges from amorous to almost X-rated, including 'I love you, alive girl. I will show you with my body, and my lips and my eyes, very soon' and 'My heart is growing just so it can have room for you.'

Three insiders familiar with the inquiry, which is being personally funded by the Amazon CEO, have said investigators are increasingly convinced that there were political motives behind the leak, according to a Wednesday report from The Daily Beast.

That theory could explain why the messages were given to the Enquirer rather than a more reputable outlet, as well as why the tabloid spent so much time and resources digging into the affair.

Investigators are reportedly focused on people with ties to President Donald Trump, who has been linked to the Enquirer through its chief executive, David Pecker.

Bezos personal security team is reportedly focusing on a theory that the messages were leaked by someone with ties to President Donald Trump (left), an outspoken critic of the billionaire who has been linked to the Enquirer through its chief executive David Pecker (right)

Pecker, a longtime friend of the president, admitted last month to using the Enquirer's parent company, American Media Inc, to transfer a hush money payment to one of Trump's alleged mistresses in the final weeks of the 2016 campaign.

Trump has repeatedly launched attacks on Bezos, accusing him of using the Washington Post, which he owns, to criticize his administration.

Trump took a swipe at the fellow billionaire after the Enquirer published the story of his affair, writing on Twitter: 'So sorry to hear the news about Jeff Bozo being taken down by a competitor whose reporting, I understand, is far more accurate than the reporting in his lobbyist newspaper, the Amazon Washington Post.'

'Hopefully the paper will soon be placed in better & more responsible hands!'

More evidence that the leak was politically motivated emerged as a result of the Daily Beast's story about the investigation.

Prior to its publication, longtime Trump adviser Roger Stone made an apparent attempt to preempt the story by reporting on Tuesday that the outlet was preparing to publish an article accusing Stone of conspiring with the Trump administration to hack Bezos' messages and hand them over to the Enquirer.

Stone, who was hit with criminal charges in the Russia investigation last week, told conspiracy site InfoWars that the story had been pitched by 'the Amazon PR people'.

The Daily Beast categorically denied those claims.

The outlet reported that the private inquiry initially looked into whether Bezos' phone was hacked, but sources said a digital forensic analysis turned up no evidence to support that theory.

Investigators also allegedly explored the possibility that Sanchez herself had leaked them in an effort to end her lover's marriage. However, all three insiders said there is no evidence that she was involved.

American Media spokesman Jon Hammond declined to comment on how the Enquirer obtained the text messages.

Sources said that investigators have found the Enquirer's coverage of Bezos to be unusually unflattering.

When the initial story about the affair was published, the Enquirer claimed that Bezos had only announced his divorce because he knew the outlet was about to expose him.

The magazine also alleged that he tried desperately to stop it from running its series of photographs which document their affair, apparently asking one friend: 'Can't I buy the story from them?'

BEZOS' SEXTS TO SANCHEZ

'I love you, alive girl. I will show you with my body, and my lips and my eyes, very soon.'

'I want to smell you, I want to breathe you in. I want to hold you tight.… I want to kiss your lips…. I love you. I am in love with you.'

'I miss you. I want to kiss you right now and tuck you in slowly and gently. And maybe in the morning wake you up and not be quite so gentle with you.'

'Your energy and ideas and competence and SPIRIT turn me on. You make me better. You're meant for me.'

'I am so full of love for you. My heart is growing just so it can have room for you. It's bigger than it's ever been and still swelling.'

'I want to hold you tight.… I want to kiss your lips…. I love you. I am in love with you.'

'You know what I want? I want to get a little drunk with you tonight. Not falling down. Just a little drunk. I want to talk to you and plan with you. Listen and laugh … I basically WANT TO BE WITH YOU!!! Then I want to fall asleep with you and wake up tomorrow and read the paper with you and have coffee with you

Central to the report were the raunchy text messages Bezos allegedly sent to Sanchez, who is married to Hollywood mega agent Patrick Whitesell and has three children (two with him and one from a previous relationship with an NFL star).

In one, he reportedly told the 49-year-old: 'I want to smell you, I want to breathe you in. I want to hold you tight.… I want to kiss your lips…. I love you. I am in love with you.'

Others are more graphic, including one where he is said to have told the former Extra and Fox host: 'I miss you. I want to kiss you right now and tuck you in slowly and gently.

'And maybe in the morning wake you up and not be quite so gentle with you.'

In another, he allegedly said: 'Your energy and ideas and competence and SPIRIT turn me on.

'You make me better. You're meant for me.'

Another is said to have read: 'I am so full of love for you. My heart is growing just so it can have room for you.

'It's bigger than it's ever been and still swelling.'

Other reported remarks include: 'I want to hold you tight.… I want to kiss your lips…. I love you. I am in love with you,' and 'You know what I want? I want to get a little drunk with you tonight. Not falling down. Just a little drunk. I want to talk to you and plan with you. Listen and laugh … I basically WANT TO BE WITH YOU!!! Then I want to fall asleep with you and wake up tomorrow and read the paper with you and have coffee with you.'

In addition to shirtless photographs he took standing in front of mirrors, including one in a steamy room where the magazine claims he was wearing just a towel, he also sent Sanchez an 'unsparing' photograph of his genitals which it said was too graphic to publish.

It was previously reported that the pair had been dating since June, months before she separated from her husband, Hollywood mega-agent Patrick Whitesell, and nine months before Bezos announced his split from his wife, MacKenzie, on Twitter.

According to the Enquirer, the pair met several times for illicit trysts as often as six times in two weeks during their eight-month affair.

Its investigation began after Sanchez was seen getting off his private jet on October 18.

Bezos has not commented on the story but a source within the billionaire's camp insisted to DailyMail.com that he and Sanchez began seeing each other after he and MacKenzie had parted ways.

In their divorce statement on January 9, the couple said they had been under a trial separation and 'loving exploration' for some time.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
