«Breaking News» Elsa Pataky, 42, displays her toned physique in a sporty bikini for new magazine shoot

Her hunky husband Chris Hemsworth is well known for his rippling muscles, thanks to his role as Thor in a string of blockbuster movies.

And Elsa Pataky, 42, has shown that she's also a force to be reckoned with in the realm of fitness, as she's unveiled her enviably toned body in a stunning photoshoot for the March issue of Women’s Health UK magazine.

The mother-of-three posed in a host of flattering outfits for the shoot — including a stylish blue bikini — as she revealed in the accompanying interview that she can't go more than two weeks without working out.

She said: 'I can’t be without training for more than two weeks – I just get really nervous and my energy starts to go down. When you start working out and your body’s changing and achieving your goals that’s such a great thing.'

The Spanish beauty has three children — daughter India Rose, six, and four-year-old twin boys Tristan and Sasha — with her husband of eight years.

And Elsa admits that taking care of her offspring on a day-to-day basis has often led to her accidentally fasting.

'Because of the kids and the run in the morning, you end up not eating anything – you have to get their stuff and their clothes and everything.' she told the publication.

'Chris is like, "You’re fasting,'" and I’m like, "I’m not," and then I realise at 12pm, "Whoa, I haven’t eaten anything!"'

However, while she's mindful of the way she eats, one thing the model and actress refuses to embrace is any form of fad dieting.

'I hate extremes in everything, so I always love to kind of be in the middle,' she explained. 'I learned a lot about macrobiotics, but I need other things, also.

'You have to find what your body craves and what is good for it… For a while everyone was like "no carbs", which I think is a big mistake.'

Elsa's commitment to health and fitness has led to her collaborating with her 35-year-old husband Chris on their new lifestyle app, Centr.

'The reason we created this programme was to bring together all the people we think are really good in fitness, nutrition and mindfulness.' she said.

'I think those three things are every important to keep healthy and happy. Chris put it together, but I wanted to be a part of it, too.'

Elsewhere in her interview, Elsa also opened up about diversity in Hollywood's film industry and how it affected her as a foreign-born actress.

She recalled: 'I feel like when I got to LA [early in my career] nobody would hire you unless you were playing the Spanish character. Now, it’s getting so much better.

'Like Wonder Woman [actress Gal Gadot], she has an accent – she’s Israeli – and that’s amazing.

'[Gal] is a friend of mine and I was like, ‘It wouldn’t have been possible years ago." And now people are more interested in female characters no matter what your age.'

However, some elements of Elsa's Spanish heritage have proved to be something of an adjustment for her Australian husband.

She told the magazine: '[We Spaniards] are so passionate about everything, and when you love something, you love it.

'We’re really loud and sometimes Chris gets embarrassed. He’s like, "Stop it, everyone’s looking at us."'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
