«Breaking News» Dina Torkia reveals abuse received since she stopped wearing a hijab

A British Muslim YouTube star has revealed the outpouring of vile abuse she received after she stopped wearing her hijab full-time.

Dina Torkia, who has more than a million followers on Instagram, said she had made a 'personal decision to wear it when I want to'.

In a video called The Bad, The Worse And The Ugly she reads out the torrent of abuse she has received from strangers on Facebook.

Even in an uninterrupted 47-video the fashion blogger is only able to get through some of the nasty messages.

Among the offensive and unsolicited posts, one comment said she would 'be a porn star' while another called her a 'sick person mentally'.

Many posts questioned her faith, with one saying 'she's not a Muslim any more'  and another writing she was 'messed up' and had 'made Islam look bad'.

Another called her a 'part-time Muslim' while yet another said 'you can't just wear a hijab when you feel like it'.

Others made uninvited comments on her personal appearance, saying she was 'ugly and gross' without the scarf.

The nastiest messages called for her death and used a range of offensive terms to describe her.

The blogger has previously posted videos online about fashionable ways to wear the head covering.

She also published a book called Modestly, a reference to her videos on modest fashion.

Last year she referred to the hijabi community as a 'toxic cult' and said she would only wear it when she chose to.

She later explained the comment in more detail, saying: 'I'm referring to the onslaught of slander and insults I've received from a community that I was very much a part of and helped build... all because of my personal decision to basically wear it when I want to.'

She said on Twitter: 'I've only just started showing my hair over the past few months, every now and then whenever I have felt comfortable to do so.

'Some days I'm more comfortable covering my hair and other days I am more comfortable showing it. That's just it.

'I still believe in head covering as a part of my modesty and a part of my life and it will always be a part of me.

'It's a part of my heritage, religion and culture... no-one can take that away from me.

'I have just decided that the best thing for me personally is not to commit to it it daily like I have done for the past 20 years. That is all.'

Link hienalouca.com Interesting to note Looking for an investor or sponsor for a project to grow dinosaurs and relict plants. Requires the sum of investments from 400000$ to 900000$. The exact amount can not say because there are many nuances. It will be necessary to build a small laboratory with certain parameters. To all interested persons please write on an email angocman@gmail.com . It is the scientific project and I do not know whether it is possible to earn on it. The probability of success of the project is approximately 60%. That will be very interesting.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
