«Breaking News» College junior, 21, found dead waist deep in icy Michigan marsh after calling 911 for help

A Michigan State University student who went missing in the early hours of New Year's Day was found dead in the waist deep, freezing cold waters of Saginaw Bay on Lake Huron.

Parker J. Haire, 21, called 911 for help on Tuesday morning explaining that he was cold, wet and somewhere near a factory, Mlive reports. 

After the call disconnected, first responders mobilized in the area plotted from Haire's phone call, but were unable to find anything until a Michigan Sugar Co. worker reported Haire's jeep stuck in the mud near the company property.

Authorities also search in an area of Tuscola County where Haire was believed to have attended a party the previous night or early morning.

Haire would not be found until Wednesday morning when deputies on an airboat spotted the missing man's body stuck in the shallow waters of Sebewaing River Point in the bay.

'Typically in conditions of such, a human being is not able to survive over one hour when in cold water,' Huron County Sheriff Kelly J. Hanson said. 

The water temperatures were estimated to be just above freezing while air temperatures were in the teens and mid-20s on the nights Haire was lost. 

'This was over two miles from where the victim's vehicle was found yesterday locked and stuck in the mud at Bay Shore Camp,' Sheriff Hanson added. 

It was unclear what exact route the young man had walked, or why he had gone in the direction that would lead to his death.

The 21-year-old Haire from Cass City, Michigan, was a junior at Michigan State University, and was believed to have been attending a party before he disappeared on New Year's Day

Despite the below-freezing temperatures, Parker Haire had not even been dressed for the winter weather when he walked into the waters around Lake Huron

Haire had somehow ended up on the ice around Saginaw Bay and apparently had kept walking until he reached a point where the ice could no longer support his weight. 

He sank into a marshy area of phragmites, an invasive species of tall grass that Sheriff Hanson says hid Haire from the view of search parties. The college student had also not been dressed properly for cold weather.

 'The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to the many volunteers who offered support or gave assistance throughout this tragic ordeal,' according to the sheriff.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
