«Breaking News» Chrissy Teigen glams up for Critics Choice Awards after 'rough' night celebrating John's birthday

If Chrissy Teigen was nursing a terrible hangover at the Critics' Choice Awards on Sunday night, she didn't let it show as she hit the red carpet in a show-stopping white gown.

The 33-year-old beauty commanded attention at the glamorous annual fete taking place in the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California.

And the supermodel had struggled earlier in the day to pull herself out of bed after celebrating her husband John Legend's 40th star-studded birthday blowout the night before as she joked on Instagram: 'This was a huge mistake!'

Daring to impress, the Lip Sync Battle hostess showcased her fabulous figure in the couture that featured a strapless design.

She thrust her gorgeous gams on center stage as the satin white ensemble boasted a daring slit all the way up her toned thigh.

Meanwhile, the cookbook author had trouble pulling herself out of bed after celebrating her beau's big day the night before.

Posting to her Instagram account in the morning, she told followers: 'Oh my god. I have to get ready for Critics' Choice,' while she showed her bed littered with junk food.

Later she joked: 'Wait... Is it Peoples' Choice? I seriously don't know, but it's something.'

The star-studded birthday party held a James Bond theme and celebrities such as Kim Kardashian and Kanye West were in attendance.

Meanwhile, after the shock upset of Bohemian Rhapsody taking the Best Picture gong at the Golden Globes, all eyes will be on the Best Picture category at tonight's Critics' Choice Awards.

The 24th annual gala is always watched with close attention by film fans, as it is seen as the most accurate predictor of the Academy Award nominations.

Leading the nominations with 14 nods is The Favourite - starring Olivia Colman, Rachel Weisz and Emma Stone -  including best picture, best acting ensemble and best director for Yorgos Lanthimos.

Taye Diggs is hosting the show as the press release stated: 'Taye is a star of both film and television, plus his illustrious stage career makes him especially qualified to lead our show.

'He promises to infuse the Critics' Choice Awards with his infectious charm and humor, and enrich what already promises to be a memorable night.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
