«Breaking News» Beauty blogger details her horrific experiences with lip filler

Beauty blogger Huda Kattan has detailed her horror experiences with lip filler as she admits to finally dissolving most of it took look more 'natural'.

The 35-year-old makeup guru has amassed a fortune with her YouTube tutorials and beauty company, Huda Beauty. Since first hitting the beauty scene, Huda has been outspoken about her plastic surgery and filler.

And now in a recent YouTube video, she details her experience with lip fillers and why she would not recommend the procedure.

Throwback: Huda, pictured prior to the procedure, got fillers in 2009 because she was insecure about the size of her lips

'The first time I ever got lip filers was in 2009, and it really wasn’t popular then,' Huda, who has her own phenomenally successful beauty brand, Huda Beauty, said.

'My curiosity about it was definitely there and I was wondering if I would look more attractive if I got lip fillers. I was feeling a bit insecure about that and I wanted to just fill them.'

Huda found a doctor in Dubai to perform the procedure, but she admitted she should've done more research about it first.

The doctor injected her lips four times and it resulted in large 'bulges' making her lips look asymmetrical. There was also so much filler in the lips that she was unable to press her mouth together.

'They looked really bad,' the beauty blogger admitted. 'I noticed kissing felt different.'

Six months later, she visited a different doctor in an attempt to fix the botched lip job. But this just led her down a long road of trying different fillers until she ultimately discovered the procedure was ruining her lips.

'I actually think from my personal experience, lip fillers actually ruined my lips,' she said.

The lip filler gave Huda's lips plumpness she didn't want. Instead, she was looking to increase the height of the lips.

Longevity of the procedure is one reason Huda would not recommend others to fill their lips with hyaluronic acid or collagen. Most fillers last around six months and will then start to dissolve or move upwards.

'I personally don’t know anybody that’s had lip filler and kept it in their lips that it continues to look good over time,' she said.

Huda decided to dissolve all of the filler in her top lip and a majority of what was in her bottom lip. This decision came about after a doctor in New York City told her the fillers were making her look 'fake' and 'older'.

She now focuses on lining her lips with makeup to achieve the desired look.

'I’ve noticed since I started lining my lips I’m so happy with it,' she said. 'They’re not as plumb but they look big....The reality is bigger lips do sometimes make you look more feminine and softer.

'But it doesn’t necessarily mean that if you fill your lips you’re going to have that appearance,' she continued.

Stunning: 'I think it’s really important to mess around with makeup before you mess around with needles because reversing that can be really challenging,' Huda said

'It actually can be the opposite [and] make you look harsher and faker and older. So it’s not necessarily the right way to get bigger lips.'

She advises for her followers that 'less is more' in terms of filler because of how 'addicting' the procedure can be.

It's been a busy few weeks for Huda; the beauty mogul's candid video confession came just days after she revealed that she is launching her first Huda Beauty collaboration - a range of false lashes created with Bollywood star Jacqueline Fernandez.

'OMG I am SUPER excited to announce our first EVER product collab!' she wrote on Instagram, while sharing a teaser video for the collection. 'It’s with the stunning @jacquelinef143!!! How gorgeous is she?!!

'Here’s a little sneak peek of our Jacqueline Lash, inspired by the beautiful Bollywood QUEEN. Jacqueline is a classic beauty, super glamorous but also so natural & we wanted to bring this to life in these lashes! Launching 29 January. Who’s excited!'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
