«Breaking News» Two men seen making Nazi salutes outside Steve Bannon Oxford speech

Footage has emerged of two men giving Nazi salutes outside a talk by Steve Bannon at Oxford University.

Mr Bannon, Donald Trump's former chief strategist, spoke at the university's famous debating chamber, prompting critics and supporters to stage opposing demonstrations outside.

Footage filmed of the protests shows two men raising their arms in Heil Hitler-style salutes as activists exchange insults.

Police have launched an investigation into the video to determine whether any hate crime laws have been broken.

Oxford student Mahsa Alimardani claimed the two men were standing with those supporting Bannon's speech at the university.

She said: 'Regardless of what their motivation was, it was sickening to see the Nazi salute at Oxford.

'It's sad to see this city I associate with the highest intellectual pursuits to be harbouring this behaviour.

'At the time I thought they were there to support Bannon's presence at the union, but after seeing another video posted from another vantage, they might have just been attention seeking, as they were dancing.

'I was too disgusted by the sad state of that crowd to stick around, so I left shortly after watching a few of their Nazi salutes.'

Another witness, Dana Naomy Mills, said: 'Those thugs kept taunting the protesters throughout, with no police intervention.

'I am the granddaughter of a German Jewish woman who escaped Germany in the 1930s, and I am still horrified and mortified by what has happened.

'This needs to be tackled head on, and questions should be asked about how the Union and police enabled the events of Friday to unfold the way they did, and what are they doing to follow up.'

Police and protestors clashed outside the university building where Bannon spoke on Friday afternoon.

Anti-fascist demonstrators chanted 'Say it loud, say it clear, Bannon is not welcome here' and body-slammed into officers protecting the entrances.

The former White House Chief Strategist, who has faced accusations of stirring up racial tensions, used his talk to defend his efforts to spread a 'nationalist populist movement' across Europe.

Commenting on the video, a Thames Valley Police spokesman said: 'Officers will review the video to establish if any offences have occurred.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
