«Breaking News» Trump slams 'phony' report which said he had been questioning Mike Pence's loyalty

President Donald Trump denounced a 'phony' New York Times story which reported that he has been questioning Vice President Mike Pence's loyalty.

'No, I don't question his loyalty at all. He is 100% loyal. It was a phony story,' Trump told reporters at the White House before leaving for California Saturday.

'Mike Pence is 100%,' Trump said. 'Not even a doubt about it in my mind. He's been a trooper. He's been with me from as soon as I won the primaries. I could not be happier.'

Trump was asked about a report which appeared in Friday's edition of the Times.

According to the report, Trump has been privately asking aides whether they believe that the Vice President has been loyal.

Trump has also considered dropping Pence from the ticket and picking another running mate in his quest to win re-election in 2020, according to the Times.

The President has reportedly been told by some close advisers that unlike in 2015, when he was a political newcomer, he does not need Pence anymore since he has cemented his relationship with evangelical Christians.

Trump has reportedly been told that he should consider a new running mate who will help him win back women voters that supported the Democrats in droves during the recent mid-term elections.

Nikki Haley, the former South Carolina Governor who will soon step down as Trump's ambassador to the United Nations, has been mentioned as a possible running mate for 2020, according to the Times.

The White House, however, denied that Trump was considering a change.

'The president absolutely supports the Vice President and thinks he's doing an incredible job helping to carry out the mission and policies of this administration,' Deputy White House Press Secretary Hogan Gidley said in a statement.

Trump also tweeted: 'The New York Times did a phony story, as usual, about my relationship with @VP Mike Pence. They made up sources and refused to ask me, the only one that would know, for a quote....'

'....I can't imagine any President having a better or closer relationship with their Vice President then the two of us. Just more FAKE NEWS, the Enemy of the People!'

At a news conference last week in the White House, Trump asked Pence, who was sitting near him: 'Mike, will you be my running mate?'

Pence stood up from his seat and nodded yes.

'That was unexpected, but I feel very fine,' Trump said.

In a bluntly worded speech at an Asia Pacific Economic Co-operation (APEC) summit, Pence threw down the gauntlet to China on trade and security in the region.

'We have taken decisive action to address our imbalance with China,' Pence declared.

'We put tariffs on $250 billion in Chinese goods, and we could more than double that number.'

'The United States, though, will not change course until China changes its ways.'

The stark warning will likely be unwelcome news to financial markets which had hoped for a thaw in the Sino-U.S. dispute and perhaps even some sort of deal at a G20 meeting later this month in Argentina.

U.S. President Donald Trump, who is not attending the APEC meeting, is due to meet Chinese President Xi Jinping in Argentina.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
