Video has been released of the moment an Iowa principal allegedly asked a female student to 'hold his banana' while he was dressed in a costume resembling the fruit during an assembly in December 2017.
Todd Dirth, of Fort Madison Middle School, is seen in the video shooting hoops while gesturing to part of the costume protruding from between his legs, which is when he allegedly made the creepy comment to a female student he had brought onto the basketball court with him.
Since then, it's been confirmed that Dirth was disciplined, but it remains unclear what punitive measures were taken.
Dirth 'continues to be a valued employee of the Fort Madison Community School District,' according to officials.
The video is taken from far away so the audio does not capture the interaction between Dirth and the student, who can be seen running off the court, away from the principal.
Dirth then tucks the part of the costume he was gesturing with up under itself before returning to shooting hoops.
The incident occurred with 600 students and 100 members of the staff present.
This is not the only time Dirth has been accused of wrongdoing.

The video shows Dirth shooting underhand free throws at the event when he gestured to part of the costume protruding from between his legs and allegedly made the creepy comment
In June, a female student accused him of bruising her after she failed to say good morning to him.
In another case, former student Seth Wright claimed Dirth ripped a safety pin from his lip he was using to stop a piercing from closing while he was eating.
And parent Heather Wellman accused Dirth of slapping her son in the back of the head, reported the Pen City Current.

Superintendent Erin Slater insisted the incidents had been investigated and dealt with.
'The fact that the parents do not agree with what the District has done does not mean that the District took no action or did not appropriately address the situation,' Slater said.
It's not clear which incident, or incidents, Slater was referring to with her comment.
Dirth could not immediately be reached for comment.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
