«Breaking News» Trump praises Ruth Bader Ginsburg as he gives posthumous award to Scalia, Babe Ruth and Elvis

Ruth Bader Ginsburg made her first public appearance since taking a fall that left her with cracked ribs, showing up on Friday at President Donald Trump's Medal of Freedom Award ceremony.


She was in the audience with other Supreme Court Justices, including John Roberts and Brett Kavanaugh, in support of the late Associate Justice Antonin Scalia. 


'Glad to see you're feeling great,' Trump told her in a call out. 


Trump also awarded the medal posthumously to Elvis Presley and George Herman 'Babe' Ruth, Jr. Family members of the deceased recipients accepted the award.

Other recipients included retiring Republican Senator Orrin Hatch, Miriam and Sheldon Adelson, former professional football player Roger Staubach and former Minnesota Supreme Court Justice Alan Page.


The medal is the highest civilian honor in the United States and is given annually to people who have made outstanding contributions to the security or national interests of the United States, to world peace, or to cultural or other significant public or private endeavors.  


The Great Bambino, as Babe Ruth is known, set baseball records that lasted for decades, some of which have not been broken.


Trump cited the work that the baseball player did through his foundation, named after the athlete, that helped underprivileged youth.


Herman 'raised money and raised hell' during WWII, Trump asserted.


He said he was surprised to find that the athlete hadn't been honored before.


'I said you mean Babe Ruth hasn't gotten it?' Trump said he asked his staff.

Miriam Adelson is married to billionaire Sheldon Adelson. According to the White House, the physician was chosen for founding research centers dedicated to substance abuse. The two have also established the Adelson Medical Research Foundation for life-threatening illness. They've also help support Jewish schools, Holocaust memorial organizations and Israeli military personnel. 


The couple were one of the largest contributors to the GOP's efforts for the midterm election. They donated a staggering $112million to super PACs through September, CNN reports.

Trump has yet to present a Presidential Medal of Freedom. He did give out the Medal of Honor, the U.S. highest military honor, as recently as October.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
