«Breaking News» Take That's Mark Owen, 46, shocks Strictly viewers with 'unrecognisable' appearance

Take That performed their new song Out of Our Heads for the Strictly Come Dancing audience on Sunday night.

Yet those watching at home were distracted from the singing by how ‘unrecognisable’ Mark Owen appeared - having grown a man bun to go alongside his more ‘rugged’ appearance.

Performing on a platform with dancers shimmying around the group, the 46-year-old, who appeared alongside Gary Barlow, 47, and Howard Donald, 50, shocked fans of the BBC One show with his new look.

And viewers were quick to take to Twitter to express their astonishment as Mark ditched his former clean-shaven look.

One wrote: ‘Completely distracted from watching properly by Mark Owen's hair/beard,' with another adding: ‘Holy cow I did not recognise Mark Owen there.’

A third commented: ‘OMG how different does Mark Owen look? Barely recognised him.’, while one continued: ‘Who has Take That replaced Mark Owen with?’

Another said: ‘I'm sorry but anyone watching #Strictly think that Mark in Take That look 'DIFFERENT', didn't even recognise him to begin with?’ 

Meanwhile Kate Silverton became the eighth celebrity to depart the dance floor during Sunday's episode of Strictly Come Dancing. 

The 48-year-old newsreader was eliminated in emotional scenes after losing out to Graeme Swann in the dreaded dance off at Blackpool.

Yet she had only positive words as she recapped her experience and gushed over her professional partner Aljaž Škorjanec. 

After finding herself in the bottom two, she was forced to perform her American Smooth to Everlasting Love again, whilst Graeme and his professional partner Oti Mabuse did their Theatre & Jazz (Couples Choice) to The Trolley Song.

Yet despite Kate's best efforts, the judges unanimously voted to save Graeme and Oti - who had beaten their top score on Saturday with their Jazz routine.  

When asked by Tess Daly about her time on the show, Kate said: 'You know I'm actually weirdly perversely, not that I would have wanted to go out, but on a night like tonight in such a place, I couldn't have asked for anything better really.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
