A witness, named only as Belinda, said as soon as Mrs Mohapi saw what had happened she screamed 'That's my car!'

Thieves then dragged her husband's body out of the blue VW Polo and dumped it on the ground, as Mrs Mohapi fell to the ground and screamed 'Oh God, oh no, no, no!'

The couple had reportedly been going to the supermarket to buy provisions for her birthday, including ingredients for a cake at the time.

In horrifying footage captured on the store's CCTV cameras two men can be seen slowly walking up behind the car with one pretending to be on his mobile phone as the family man sits behind the steering wheel.

The assassin is then seen taking a gun out of his waistband as they near the drivers' side door and yanking it open as his accomplice leans in to try to grab the keys.

The gunman then aims his weapon at the driver and gun smoke can be seen coming from the barrel as he opens fire from point blank range.

A South African Police Service spokesman confirmed that Mr Mohapi was hit three times in the chest and twice in his arm and was certified dead at the shooting scene.

Mr Mohani was Chief Safety Officer for Sibanye-Stillwater which is the largest individual gold producing mining company in South Africa and also mines platinum.

He is based at the Beatrix mine which came under extreme pressure from mining unions over safety issues earlier this year when 1000 miners were trapped underground.

They were rescued after 30 hours but many of the men refused to go back to work with the mining unions furious with the company and seeking improvements in safety.

Mr Mohani was murdered in the car park of the Commando Shopping Centre in the town of Welkom in the Free State province after parking up at 5.30pm on Saturday.

Police spokesman Captain Stephen Thakeng said: 'Two unknown African men shot him three times in his chest and twice in his left arm then pulled him from the car.

'They then drove off with his vehicle which was recovered later. No arrests have been made and we are still searching for the suspects. Mr Mohani was certified dead'.

One shopper who witnesses the shooting scuttles away and another passerby casually saunters by having heard the shots and watches the victim being pulled from the car.

One of the killers gets behind the wheel and the actual gunman then calmly strolls round the rear of the car to the passenger door and gets in.

After shooting their victim they left his body lying by the side of the vehicle and jumped into his VW Polo

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
