«Breaking News» Red kites in Wales fly underneath a rainbow in spectacular display

This is the breathtaking moment a lucky photographer managed to capture a group of red kites flying underneath a rainbow.

Professional photographer Sean Weekly, 29, was watching kites being fed at the Gigrin Red Kite Feeding centre in Rhayader, Wales.

While he watched the kites zipping through the air and keeping their eyes locked on his camera in a 'spectacular' display, he also noticed how clear the rainbow was behind the birds.

Amazed by the sight, Sean captured as many pictures as he could while watching the birds of prey for around three hours.

Sean, from Builth Wells, Wales, said: 'It is truly an amazing wildlife spectacle.

'On checking the weather, it was forecast heavy cloud with sunny intervals, so I knew it would give me another opportunity to potential catch a rainbow in my images.

'These are really heavy photographed subjects, so it is always nice to get a different shot of them from the norm.

'The kites to me are one of my favourite birds of prey, and they have done amazingly well considering they were almost extinct here in the UK.

'The weather was heavy cloud, with some nice spells of sunshine, allowing for some very dramatic light at times to photograph the birds in.'

He was amazed by the sight, and Sean captured as many pictures as he could while watching the birds of prey for around three hours

Sean said he stood around ten metres away from the birds which he says are 'incredibly agile'.

He adds: 'The birds can stay in the air for many hours with hardly a beat of its wings.

'Quite spectacular when you see them. Feeding of the Kites here at the centre used to be for conservation purposes.

'Now driving through Wales these birds are almost everywhere soaring and looking for prey amongst the stunning Welsh landscapes.

'I will never ever tire of seeing them.'

Sean says that he stood around ten metres away from the birds which he says are 'incredibly agile'. The photographer added that he would 'never tire of them'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
