The talk took place at the plenary session of ASEAN on Thursday afternoon.

At a dinner the night before, Pence and Putin exchanged a brief hello.

The vice president told NBC he wasn't in a position at the dinner to say more.

'Well we really didn't have the opportunity, he was literally across a broad table,' Pence explained. 'Look, we've been very clear about this administration's commitment to ensure, whether it be Russia or other countries, that there's no tolerance for meddling in our elections.'

He stressed that the United States had taken 'decisive action' to protect the integrity of the ballot box.

'I know the president has also made that very clear in his meetings with the president in the past,' Pence asserted.

Pence and Putin's interaction at ASEAN on Thursday was brief. Trump and Putin have a planned meeting in just a few weeks.

Putin said Thursday that Moscow and Washington need to discuss the future of the 2011 New START arms-reduction agreement and the situation around the 1987 Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces (INF) treaty.

Trump has declared his intention to withdraw from the INF, which was signed by U.S. President Ronald Reagan and Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev.

The Russian leader also said Thursday that if he and Trump meet as expected in Argentina later this month, they will also discuss Syria, North Korea and Iran.

He added that Moscow is prepared for 'the restoration of full-fledged work' if Washington is ready for that. 'We undoubtedly need a dialogue on the highest level, as well as on the level of experts,' he said.

The Kremlin also hit out at the 'unpredictability' of the United States under Trump, saying it was causing 'deep global concern.'

'The fact that America has become unpredictable lately is no secret to anyone,' Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told Dozhd TV during Putin's trip to Singapore.

'Such unpredictability from the largest country, the most powerful economy in the world, is the subject of deep global concern,' he added.

Trump and Putin greeted each other with smiles at the centennial anniversary of Armistice Day in Paris over the weekend. Putin even flashed his counterpart a thumbs up - the American president's favored greeting.

The pair will have a more substantive meeting in two weeks at the G20 summit in Buenos Aires the last week of November. They already had a summit over the summer in Helsinki together.

Relations between the two countries have hit new lows with American officials slapping Russia with fresh sanctions in response to the botched poisoning of former Russian spy Sergei Skripal in Britain.

Western governments accused Russia of being behind the plot which saw Skripal and his daughter, Yulia, poisoned with a deadly nerve agent. Two British citizens were also poisoned, one of whom died.

Moscow has denied being behind the brazen hit and has condemned efforts to sanction it over the incident.

'We do not recognise these unilateral restrictions... and we consider them illegitimate,' Peskov said of the threatened sanctions, adding they would only 'further complicate' Russia-US relations.

World leaders are currently meeting in Singapore, which is hosting the annual Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) summit.

Trump is not at the gathering, though, and Pence, his vice president, instead.

He just returned from Paris on Sunday night and leaves after the Thanksgiving holiday for the Group of 20 meeting in Argentina.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
