«Breaking News» Nine migrants are caught climbing cliffs at Folkestone after crossing the English Channel by boat

Nine suspected migrants have been found climbing up cliffs after apparently crossing the Channel in a small inflatable boat in an attempt to enter the UK.

The group, all believed to be Iranian, called emergency services at around 7:30am to say they were in trouble on the rocks.

Around 45 minutes later a member of the public spotted them near Folkestone in Kent.

The coastguard confirmed it was assisting Border Force officers.

In the last week Kent has become a hot spot for migrants entering the UK, with more than 60 suspected migrants coming over the channel in boats and in the back of lorries. 

On Friday, a dinghy carrying seven more suspected migrants also believed to be from Iran was found on a beach in Samphire Hoe, near Dover, in Kent.

The National Crime Agency (NCA) said it believed the high rates of attempted entries in the area was due to 'organised crime groups' involved in people smuggling. 

On Wednesday aloe, 22 suspected migrants including a woman and a child were picked up off the coasts of Dover and Ramsgate.  

On Tuesday, a French fishing boat that was thought to have been stolen was stopped as it entered the Port of Dover with 17 suspected migrants on board.

Dover and Deal MP Charlie Elphicke said the 'brazen attempt to break into Britain' showed the 'extreme lengths these desperate people will go to'.   

Chris Hogben, head of operations for organised immigration crime, told the BBC: 'We don't believe that necessarily this is just the work of desperate migrants who are trying to get over to the UK under their own steam.

'We believe this is yet another example of organised criminals using more and more desperate, more and more dangerous, methods of trying to smuggle people into the UK.'

In another separate incident, seven suspected migrants were also found in a lorry at Dover docks.

The vehicle arrived from Calais in France, one of the men was taken to hospital. Three of them said they were Iranian while the other four claimed to be Iraqi. 

In all cases the Home Offices said the individuals will be interviewed by home office officials.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
