He may have kept his seat in the Senate, but apparently there's no place for Ted Cruz at a Nine Inch Nails concert.
At least, not unless he pays for it.
Frontman Trent Reznor revealed that the Republican senator was vying for a spot on the rock band's guest list for their show in Irving, Texas.

Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor revealed that Ted Cruz had been vying for a spot on the rock band's guest list for their show in Irving, Texas on Tuesday
'He might be here tonight, he was bugging to get on the guest list,' Reznor told the crowd at the show on Wednesday night. 'And I told him to f**k off'
'He might be here tonight, he was bugging to get on the guest list,' Reznor told the crowd at the show on Wednesday night.
'And I told him to f**k off.'
Reznor then revealed that the band had actually put Cruz on the guest list a 'few years ago' and was less than impressed by the politician's behavior.
'He drank all the beer, and was just a pain in the a** to be around,' Reznor said in the video, which was originally posted on Reddit.

Before Reznor revealed Cruz's plea to get on the guest list, he asked the crowd who had voted for the senator instead of his Democratic competitor Beto O'Rourke
He asked the venue to turn the overhead lights on so that he could see the crowd better while he asked them to raise their hands
'Raise your hand, you guys, nothing to be ashamed of,' he said as the crowd continued to boo
Before Reznor revealed Cruz's plea to get on the guest list, he asked the crowd who had voted for the senator instead of his Democratic competitor Beto O'Rourke.
'Who voted for Ted Cruz?' he asked, sending the crowd into a chorus of jeers.
'See the lights aren't on, I can't see. Is there any way to turn the lights on? I'd like to see,' Reznor continued as the overhead lights came back on.
'Raise your hand, you guys, nothing to be ashamed of,' he said as the crowd continued to boo. 'Just checking.'
Cruz's love of the Nine Inch Nails might surprise some, considering how the Texas Republican party treated O'Rourke's own rock history.
The Texas GOP unleashed a series of tweets attacking the former Democratic congressman after he couldn't make a debate.
One such tweet included a photo of O'Rourke with his former punk band. The caption, 'Sorry, can't debate. We have a gig'.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
