«Breaking News» Michelle Obama reveals Barack took honeymoon to work on new book as she was struck by loneliness

Michelle Obama has revealed her husband Barack took a 'honeymoon' on his own to work on his new book.

The Former First lady said in her own memoir, Becoming, the 44th President flew to Bali to work on a draft of his book Dreams from My Father, not long after the couple got married.

In 1993, in the early stages of their marriage, Barack spent around five weeks alone while Michelle stayed at home in Chicago living above her mother.

She wrote in her new book, which will be released tomorrow, that she reconciled missing her new husband because she had married an 'outside-the-box thinker'.

Michelle also said she believed Barack had taken himself off over 9,700 miles away to shield her from the 'chaos' of writing his book, which chronicled his early years in Honolulu and Chicago.

She wrote in the new book that it felt for her, as it can for many women, that just the word 'wife' can feel like a loaded word.

He was taking the most most 'sensible and efficient' way to finish the novel, she wrote, as a 'honeymoon with himself' after his honeymoon with his new wife.

While Barack was on what seemed to be a 'beach vacation' she admitted having 'lonelier moments', as she filled her time meeting friends and going to the gym.

She wrote: 'He had taken the chaos of his unfinished book and shipped himself out to do battle with it. Possibly this was out of kindness to me, a bid to keep the chaos out of my view.

'I’d married an outside-the-box thinker, I had to remind myself. He was handling his business in what struck him as the most sensible and efficient manner, even if outwardly it appeared to be a beach vacation – a honeymoon with himself (I couldn’t help but think in my lonelier moments) to follow his honeymoon with me.'

Becoming describes Obama's upbringing on Chicago's South Side, as well as her time at Whitney Young high school and Princeton University.

Michelle also admits that at the age of 29, she 'wanted everything', balancing her career with being a traditional wife and mother.

In the book she reveals she wanted to 'live with the hat-tossing, independent-career-woman zest of Mary Tyler Moore'.

But at the same time, Michelle wanted to have the 'stabilizing' and 'bland normalcy' of the household with a 'work life and a home life' just like her own mother.

Michelle revealed she was fascinated by Mary Tyler Moore, who had a 'snappy wardrobe' and 'great hair', but did not get bossed around.

She said she had been raised to be confident and 'see no limits', while believing she could get 'absolutely anything I wanted'.

But she also admitted in the early days of family life she did not know if this balancing act was possible.

She wrote: 'My considerable blessings in life were now causing a kind of psychic whiplash. I’d been raised to be confident and see no limits, to believe I could go after and get absolutely anything I wanted. And I wanted everything.

'I wanted to live with the hat-tossing, independent-career-woman zest of Mary Tyler Moore, and at the same time I gravitated toward the stabilizing, self-sacrificing, seemingly bland normalcy of being a wife and mother.'

In the opening chapters of her book, Obama writes about her educational journey from Bryn Mawr Elementary School in her neighborhood to the prestigious magnet high school.

In her new memoir Obama has described her dismay that so many American women chose 'misogynist' Donald Trump as their president instead of the first female nominee of a major party, Hillary Clinton.

In her new book, she recalled how she reacted in shock the night she learned he would replace her husband in the Oval Office and tried to 'block it all out' and how she could never forgive him for the birther allegations around Barack's birth certificate.

She also describes her own battle to become a mother and how her two daughters were conceived by IVF.

Michelle will be talking with TV host Oprah Winfrey about the book at the United Center in her home town of Chicago tomorrow, as the book is officially launched.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
