«Breaking News» Man freed from prison accused of killing woman on same day

A man is accused of killing his girlfriend on the same day he was released from an Arizona state prison.

David James Bohart, 34, was arrested at a hotel on Friday on suspicion of second-degree murder in the death of Marika Jones, 49. 

Tucson police said they found the mother-of-one with stab wounds at a house two days earlier as well as a file of prison records on Bohart.

He had been released on Monday from the Tucson state prison complex, where he served a three-year sentence for possession or use of dangerous drugs, according to the Arizona Department of Corrections website.

When he failed to check in to a court-ordered treatment facility in Cottonwood days later, a warrant was issued for his arrest, police said.

Jones had given herself his last name on Facebook, identifying herself as 'Marika Jones-Bohart', even though there is no indication the two were married.

In fact, her last relationship update was made on July 2016 in which she chose the 'It's Complicated' option.

However, Bohart appears in several of Jones's pics, dating back to at least July 2014. She also repeatedly refers to him as 'my man' and 'my prize'.

Police say Jones's body was discovered after a man identifying himself as an attorney from out of state called police on Wednesday around 3pm with information about a possible killing at a Tuscon home. 

Authorities have not released the caller's identity.

When police arrived at the home on the 5700 block of East 24th Street, they found Jones's body with traumatic injuries.

Police said they were already investigating in the same area after a man using a false name called 911 to report he had just been released from prison and killed his girlfriend. 

The man didn't provide an address, and police weren't able to immediately find anything.

Bohart is currently in the Pima County Adult Detention Center with bond set at $100,000. 

Online court records don't list an attorney who could comment on his behalf.

Bohart served two previous stints in prison, according to the corrections department website. 

One was for a forgery conviction, and the other was another conviction for possession or use of dangerous drugs.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
