«Breaking News» Kym Marsh enjoys a festive evening with her Corrie co-star Brooke Vincent

She is going to become a grandmother for the first time at 42.

And Kym Marsh was joyful on her festive evening out with her Corrie co-star Brooke Vincent, 26, at The House Of Everlyn, in Manchester on Thursday.   

The Coronation Street star, 42, looked effortlessly stylish in her seasonal attire including a striped turtleneck and stiletto boots.

Kym made her legs appear even longer in her button-down PVC skirt which she paired with her sky-high stiletto boots.

Meanwhile, Brooke stood out from the crowd when she wore a sleeveless mustard jacket over her all-black ensemble. 

The Dancing on Ice star swapped her skates for a pair of comfortable trainers.

The Coronation Street star's outing shortly follows the announcement Kym will become a grandmother at the age of 42.

Kym told OK magazine that she understands how her 21-year-old daughter Emilie is feeling after she gave birth to her own son David at just 18.

Along with Emilie and David, 23, Kym is also mum to daughter Pollie, seven, and son Archie, who died moments after his premature birth in 2009.

Kym explained she hopes her own experience as a young mum will help Emilie through her pregnancy and she sat next to her daughter when she took her test.

Emilie said: 'I keep thinking, am I really going to be able to do this? For ages I couldn't actually get the words "I'm pregnant" out of my mouth because I didn't know how people would react – I even made Mum tell my dad!' 

Kym added: 'Being a young mum seems to be a pattern in my family. My mum was 18 when she had my brother, my sister was 18 when she fell pregnant and so was I.

'I've warned her that it's going to be hard work, but I've also said that there are a lot of positives to being a young mum, too. 

'There were times when I struggled because your life changes so much when you have a child especially when you are young, but I wouldn't change what I have now for the world. Me, Emilie and David are best friends and I think that's because there isn't a huge age gap between us.'

Emilie is set to welcome her first baby with her long-term boyfriend of six months though the pair have been close friends for many years.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
