«Breaking News» Ivanka Trump's vacation to a plush estate after deadly Charlottesville rally cost TAXPAYERS $14,000

Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner spent $13,940 of taxpayer money purely on transporting and accommodating Secret Service agents for their controversial vacation to Barnard, Vermont after the Charlottesville rally last year.

The job creation adviser to her father, President Donald Trump - who also showcases her 'economic empowerment, workforce development & entrepreneurship' role on her personal Twitter page - went to a ritzy resort with husband Jared Kushner in August 2017.

Kushner took two days out of driving foreign and domestic policy in his senior adviser to POTUS job to relax on Twin Farms while agents racked up their own whopping bill because they spent eight days in the area.

It's not clear why the Secret Service needed to be there for so much longer than the couple, the New York Daily News reported, adding a request for comment on the matter was not immediately returned.

On Monday the publication obtained expense reports via a Freedom of Information Act request.

The hefty price tag was achieved because the rates in the area during the summer period had shot up, reports.

US General Services Administration rates for staying in that are stated as just over half the amount the agents' boarding ended up costing.

Despite the government agency's estimation they were permitted to splash out because costs were 'at a premium' while hotels were in 'high demand'.

Trump and Kushner were absent from a press conference after anti-fascist activist Heather Heyer, 32, was killed by a neo-Nazi who drove his car into a crowd at the Charlottesville rally.

On August 12 white supremacists took to Charlottesville to protest a Confederate-era statue being removed.

Two days later the president spoke at the Trump Tower in New York about the event that injured 19 other people, five critically, and was criticized for saying 'both sides' were to blame for what happened at the al-right rally.

He then said growing jobs would have a 'tremendous' impact on race relations in the country.

Meanwhile while his jobs adviser daughter and son-in-law took the trip to the property where it can cost several thousand dollars for just two people to occupy a cottage per night at that time of year.

Locals were surprised to see a helicopter bearing the Trump name hovering over the estate which provided ample privacy to the First Lady and her family.

The job creation adviser to her father, President Donald Trump – who...

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
