A member of the hit squad who killed Jamal Khashoggi made a call to a Saudi official instructing them to 'tell your boss' that the 'deed was done,' according to sources familiar with a recording of the killing.
American intelligence officials believe 'your boss' was a reference to Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, although he was not mentioned by name, the New York Times reported.
They see it as the strongest evidence linking the kingdom's de facto ruler to the murder of Khashoggi inside the Saudi consulate in Istanbul last month.
Maher Abdulaziz Mutreb – one of the 15 Saudis sent to Turkey to confront Khashoggi on October 2 – spoke in Arabic during the call, the three sources briefed on the matter told the Times.
Turkish intelligence officials have told their US counterparts that they believe Mutreb was speaking to one of Prince Mohammed's aides and although Arabic translations might differ, he reportedly told the aide words to the effect of 'the deed was done.'
Mutreb - a security officer who frequently travelled with Prince Mohammed - is the man named by Turkish media as the head of the operation against Khashoggi.

Bruce Riedel, a former CIA officer who is now with the Brookings Institution, a think tank, told the Times that the phone call is 'about as close to a smoking gun as you are going to get.'
He added: 'It is pretty incriminating evidence.'
However, Turkish and US officials have cautioned that the audio doesn't conclusively implicate Prince Mohammed.
In a statement on Monday, Saudi officials denied the crown prince had anything to do with Khashoggi's killing.
They also claimed there was no mention of the phrase 'tell your boss' in records Turkey provided to Saudi intelligence officials.
Turkey had 'allowed our intelligence services to hear recordings, and at no moment was there any reference to the mentioned phrase in the such recordings,' the statement added.

Turkish authorities have multiple recordings, including surveillance of phone calls, and may have only shared audio selectively.
But the call was part of a recording Turkish officials played for CIA director Gina Haspel during her visit to Ankara in October, the Times reports.
Turkey's president Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said that Turkey had shared audio recordings relating to the killing with Saudi Arabia and other nations, including the United States, Britain, France, Germany and Canada.
Erdogan also said Turkey is waiting for Prince Mohammed to shed light on the killing.
Speaking to journalists on board his plane while returning from World War I commemorations in Paris, Erdogan also reportedly said the audio recordings of the killing were so 'appalling' that a Saudi intelligence official speculated that the killer may have been on heroin.

'The recording is really appalling. In fact, when the Saudi intelligence officer listened to the recording he was so shocked that he said `this one probably took heroin. Only someone who took heroin would do it.''
Khashoggi, a critic of de facto Saudi ruler Prince Mohammed, was killed in Saudi Arabia's Istanbul consulate last month.
Erdogan has said the order to murder Khashoggi came from 'the highest levels' of the Saudi government and he pointedly failed to absolve Crown Prince Salman of responsibility.
Turkey says a 15-member Saudi 'hit squad' sent from Riyadh strangled and dismembered Khashoggi at the consulate.

Media reports have suggested that his body could have been chemically dissolved as it has not yet been found.
The crown prince is widely suspected of at least having knowledge of the killing, which involved some members of his security entourage.
Khashoggi was a Washington Post columnist and was living in self-imposed exile in the US before his death.
Pressing ahead with moves to maintain pressure on Saudi Arabia, Erdogan said the crown prince had told Turkish envoys that he would shed light on the killing at the kingdom's consulate and do what was 'necessary.'
'He said this to my special envoys,' Erdogan was quoted as saying in pro-government Yeni Safak newspaper. 'We are waiting patiently.'
Under mounting pressure, Saudi Arabia has changed its narrative about Khashoggi's killing.
It first said he walked out of the embassy the day he disappeared before eventually acknowledging Khashoggi died inside the consulate.
Saudi Arabia has also recently acknowledged Turkish evidence that showed the slaying was premeditated.
But Saudi officials characterise the killing as a rogue operation carried out by Saudi agents who exceeded their authority.
Yet some of those implicated in the killing are close to the crown prince.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
