The wife of notorious drug lord El Chapo exuded a more demure and understated image as her husband’s trial for drug trafficking got underway in Brooklyn.
Emma Coronel Aispuro used her appearances outside the courthouse to display a more polished image, wearing sophisticated suits and posting about her voluntary work with children on Instagram this week.
Aispuro’s Instagram page usually features images of the former Beauty Queen posing in a bikini.

However more recently added images show the 29-year-old mother of twin girls volunteering at a Mexican children’s hospital, handing out packages of disposable diapers and toys to needy children, the New York Post reported.
‘I do this for the love of humanity, without any profit motive,’ reads the caption next to photos showing the pretty brunette wearing a surgical mask, blue jeans and sneakers.
‘I do this for love of my fellow man, for those who need help the most’.
Her Instagram feed, which has nearly 500,000 followers, also featured photos and a video depicting the Kim Kardashian lookalike as a minor celebrity.
Dressed in a fitted black pantsuit and stiletto pumps, she posed for a selfie with a bystander and thanked her followers for their 'good wishes'.
'It doesn’t matter what happens,’ reads the Spanish-language caption posted next to the series of photos taken on the sidewalk outside the courthouse.

Joaquin 'El Chapo' Guzman Loera, 61, faces life in prison and is accused of masterminding a multi-billion-dollar drug empire in Mexico’s northwestern state of Sinaloa and ordering the killing of rivals.
While the kingpin sits in a New York prison during his trial, Aispuro has been living the life of luxury.
The former Mexican beauty queen regularly showcases her glamorous life in photos posted on her social media account.

In recent months, she shared photos of herself beachside in a bikini, soaking up the sun in Los Cabos and showing off her Prada purses.
The mother-of-two also made headlines in September after throwing an elaborate Barbie-themed birthday party for the couple's seven-year-old daughters Emaly and Maria.
Some Mexicans reacted with fury after news of the lavish birthday party emerged, accusing Aispuro of using 'blood money' from her 61-year-old husband's drug empire.
Aispuro, who wed El Chapo in 2007, has US nationality. Their daughters were born in America but live in their father's home state of Sinaloa.
The whole family has attended El Chapo's various court appearances in New York this year.
However at the hearing on Wednesday, Aispuro did not seem interested in hearing El Chapo’s accusations and instead took off her translator headset for much of the proceedings.
During the trial, she and other individuals were barred from watching juror replacements for security reasons, after two members were removed from the case at the last minute.
The judge has ruled that the jury may be sequestered for some of the trial, which is expected to take as long as four months. Opening statements will begin next week.
El Chapo famously escaped from Mexican prisons twice before being arrested and turned over to the US in January 2017.
If convicted, he will spend the rest of his life in a US prison.
El Chapo has not had any contact with Aispuro (pictured with their two children in February) for two years since his arrest and has not been able to see, call, or write to her

El Chapo is charged with 17 counts of drug trafficking and running a criminal enterprise known as the Sinaloa cartel, one of Mexico's most violent and dangerous organized crime syndicates. He has pleaded not guilty.
In a 2016 interview with Telemundo, Coronel Aispuro said that El Chapo had been harshly punished by Mexican authorities because he fled a prison a year prior.
She later added that prison guards at Mexico's Altiplano prison did 'not let him sleep, he doesn’t even have privacy to go to the bathroom'.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
