«Breaking News» Dita Von Teese commands attention in plunging Gatsby-esque gown

Dita Von Teese returned to her Burlesque roots as she performed an intimate show at central London venue The Box Soho on Wednesday evening.

The 46-year old star looked stunning in a plunging Jenny Packham dress that fully exposed her cleavage while posing for photos at the venue, a popular nightspot whose risqué shows have previously attracted the likes ofPrince Harry, Princess Eugenie and Keira Knightley.

The Gatsby-esque gown ensured Dita, currently touring Europe with racy Burlesque show The Art Of Teese, commanded attention during her latest public appearance.

As always the versatile performer added a bold flourish to her ensemble by opting for a generous layer of deep red lipstick, while her carefully waved hair was reminiscent of the Marcel Waved Bob popularised by fashion conscious women in the roaring '20s. 

Dita has teamed up Absolut Elyx for her latest tour, and the luxury vodka brand presented the event at the Walker's Court venue.  

The star was joined by a host of stars on the night, amongst them Millie Mackintosh, Pussycat Doll Melody Thornton and former Girls Aloud singers Kimberley Walsh and Nicola Roberts.

Dita's appearance comes little more than 24-hours before her tour continues at the Edinburgh Playhouse from 7:30pm on Thursday evening. 

Speaking about her new tour after the full roster of dates were announced last year, the dancer admitted she was delighted to be returning to the stage.   

'It’s always a thrill to create new acts, exploring new ideas that capture the spirit of vintage burlesque that we love, but in ways that haven’t ever been seen before,' she said in an official statement.

'It was especially enjoyable to infuse elements of Absolut Elyx’s fabulous style with the ideas for the new acts. People know me for my cocktail glass acts, so it was fun to create one around the glamorous and whimsical copper imagery that is instantly recognizable with their brand.' 

She added: I can’t wait for fans to see the new costumes, which are blinding sparkly, thanks to my favorite designers and Swarovski. 

'I’m especially fired up to be bringing my show to cities I’ve never performed before!'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
