«Breaking News» Cheryl strikes a fierce pose with her dancers as she teases her X Factor comeback performance

She is gearing up for the world exclusive performance of her comeback single Love Made Me Do It.

And Cheryl oozed confidence as she posed up with her backing dancers at rehearsal ahead of her showstopping performance on Sunday night's The X Factor.

The Fight For This Love hitmaker, 35, looked sultry as she pouted for the camera, clad in a black t-shirt with the slogan 'Bored stiff' written on it in white.

She paired this with clinging leggings and monochrome trainers, with her look completed with a hoodie wrapped around her waist.

Her raven tresses were styled in tousled waves while her pretty features were enhanced with a light dusting of make-up.

The star was surrounded by four hunky male back-up dancers who were also clad in black outfits.

She wrote: 'Bringing my gang with me tomorrow for my @thexfactor performance... tune in

This comes as Cheryl insisted she will quit her musical comeback if her new album flops, for the sake of her son Bear.

The star said she doesn't want to 'spend time away' from one-year-old Bear if her new single Love Made Me Do It - which she released last week after a four-year hiatus - doesn't do well.

'If the song goes in at 80 [in the charts], it's time for me to move on with my life,' the pop songstress firmly told The Guardian on Saturday.

She added: 'I'm not going to jump around working hard and spending time away from my son for that.' Love Made Me Do It did however suffer a blow on Friday night as it battled into the charts at number 19.

Despite her heavy promotional schedule, the Geordie beauty's comeback single failed to make it into the top 10, according to the Official Charts Company.

Cheryl will no doubt be disappointed to learn that her single is barely inside the top 20, with Ariana Grande's thank u, next nabbing number one.

However, she is still the fourth UK artist to break the top 20 in the last two months. Only Dave, Rita Ora and Little Mix ft Nicki Minaj have also managed that in the last 8 weeks.

Awkward: Elsewhere in her interview, the singer also touched on her infamous nightclub assault in 2003 - branding it 'boring and irrelevant'. (Pictured in court in 2003 after the assault)

Elsewhere in her interview, the singer also touched on her infamous nightclub assault in 2003 - branding the subject 'boring and irrelevant'.

The Fight For This Love singer said the assault was 'not news' as it was 16 years ago and added: 'I don't understand why you'd even bring it up.'

When asked if she was surprised that people bring it up, she replied: ''I don't think they do!' and continued to insist that they don't when the interviewer insisted that it's still a talking point.

Cheryl, then 19, was accused of racially aggravated assault after punching a toilet attendant in a row over paying for sweets left for customers by the sinks.

Sophie Amogbokpa, then 39, claimed grabbed 'handfuls' of sweets without leaving any money and screamed racist abuse at her when she tried to prevent her leaving.

She alleged that Cheryl - who'd been partying at the Surrey club with bandmate Nicola Roberts - punched her, knocked her glasses off and left her left eye closed up.

The singer said afterwards: 'I am really distraught that people are accusing me of racism, it couldn't be further from the truth...

'I have a little one-and-a-half year-old cousin who is Caribbean, so the idea I would say something like that is unthinkable. The one thing in this world that I am not is racist and I never will be...

'Throughout the Popstars: The Rivals series Javine (Hylton, who is black) was my closest friend. That could never have been the case if I was racist, it is a ridiculous suggestion.'

The incident, which happened after she won a place in Popstars: The Rivals band Girls Aloud, was resolved in court.

Cheryl admitted calling the toilet attendant a 'f**king b***h', but had denied using racist language. She was convicted of assault occasioning actual bodily harm but cleared of any racist element.

Cheryl also touched on her feud with Lily Allen, which the pair recently resolved after 12 years of back and forth barbs.

The Geordie star said she finds Lily 'fascinating' and admires that she's 'ballsy and outspoken' and dares to say what she wants regardless of other people's opinions.

'To be a woman in the industry and do that takes some balls. I like that about her. Nobody wants a wallflower, do they?' she declared.

It comes after Lily finally apologised to Cheryl, citing the reason behind their 12-year feud on her own sexual frustrations and jealousy over her success.

The pair first began to clash back in 2006 when Lily, 33, name dropped Cheryl on the B-side of her debut single, Smile.

Elsewhere in the interview, Cheryl talked about being 'mentally unwell' after the breakdown of her marriage to footballer Ashley Cole in 2010.

She revealed that when she flew to the US ahead of her failed X Factor takeover in the States she was 'struggling inside' and felt like the 'weight was on her shoulders'.

The singer, who was also battling malaria that year, then dubbed the whole of 2010 a 's**t year'.

The Fight For This Love hitmaker, 35,...

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
