'I would love to do her make-up one day, as she is also my dream beauty icon!'

London-based Tilbury, who launched her eponymous makeup line just five years ago, wore a plunging LBD and hat from couture milliner Victoria Grant for the occasion - calling the accolade a 'dream come true'.

She wore head-to-toe black, teaming an Alice Temperley 'Parachute' cocktail dress with a Lara Bohinc belt and Jimmy Choo shoes.

Tilbury was accompanied by her husband George Waud and her parents, Patsy and Lance, for the ceremony.

Tilbury has gone from makeup artist to bona fide businesswoman with her beauty range, which is now sold in cities across the globe.

With 26 years' industry experience, well-connected Tilbury, 45, counts Kate Moss among her inner circle and is close friends with the likes of Edward Enninful and Cara Delevingne.

Her makeup range has been worn by everyone from Amal Clooney to Lady Kitty Spencer, while the Duchess of Sussex is rumoured to be among her fans.

Just this week, the brand was named as the exclusive makeup sponsor for the Victoria's Secret runway show in New York.

In a statement on Tuesday, she said: 'Today has been one of the most magical days of my life. I am so delighted and thrilled to receive this honour, especially from Her Majesty, the Queen who has been an endless source of inspiration to me.

'She is not only an icon of this country, but of the world. To be recognized for my contribution to the beauty industry is a dream come true.'

And in a short video message to fans this morning, she said: 'Darlings, it's an incredibly exciting day, a dream come true. I'm going to Buckingham Palace to get my MBE.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
