A pair of thieves have been branded 'Manchester's stupidest burglars' after breaking into a bank heist themed escape room and creeping around as if it was real.
The duo smashed their way into the Lucardo Escape Rooms on Great Ancoats Street in the city centre during the early hours of Thursday morning.
They made their way through three sets of doors to gain entry and ransacked the business, stealing £100 cash and causing around £1000 in damage.
However they have been ridiculed by the businesses angry owners after they stopped for a drink and forgot to take one item they bagged up to steal with them.

One of the escape rooms at the attraction is called Gem Runner, where players have an hour to find a diamond in a mock bank heist.
CCTV footage which captures them in the act shows them going around the make-believe bank, pulling a safe out from under a desk and looking behind it.
Angry director Ian Pownall said: 'They must be Manchester's stupidest burglars.
'They were opening every drawer in there looking for cash. They couldn't get through the locks so they had a drill and were unscrewing panels of their hinges.
'It's as if they thought it was a real bank. But obviously there was inside them just puzzles.
'Maybe they hadn't been in an escape room before or didn't know what it was, but they looked completely bemused. There's certainly an irony to it.'
The men broke locks during their early morning raid which are designed to be used by customers when they are solving puzzles during the escape room game
Staff locked up the premises at around 10:30pm last night however they later discovered that three doors, one into a communal hallway and two doors leading to the escape room reception, had been smashed in.
Parts of the premises, which is rigged up with more than fifty CCTV cameras, had been ransacked including the bank robbery themed games room.
The burglars had taken a can of coke from the fridge and left it part drunk, which officers are hoping they can retrieve DNA evidence from.
A camera used to take photos of customers who escaped was also bagged up as it was ready to be stolen but had been left behind.

Around £100 in cash has been stolen however bosses estimate around £1,000 of damage has been caused and they estimate they will £1,000 in revenue after having to cancel bookings and close today.
In the CCTV footage one of the men is wearing what appears to be an anonymous mask, however at one point it is above his head to his face can be seen, whilst the second man is wearing a balaclava.
Ian, 26, a director at the business which opened in September 2016 said the incident would have a big impact on their independent business at a crucial time of year, where the attraction is popular with Christmas parties.
He said: 'Locking things up is our profession so we're pretty good at it, and we thought we were pretty secure. But they've gone to extraordinary lengths to get in. They've got through three big doors.
'Obviously we're gutted and really angry about it. It's really about the cash or even the damage, it's the effect on business.

'We've had to cancel bookings today and will now have to beef up security even more.
'We're not a big corporation, we're a small, family owned business so even a couple of thousand pounds will have an effect on us, particularly before Christmas.
'We rely on this business to pay our mortgage and our bills.
'It's just so stupid what they've done and the way they've gone about it. We just want them caught as soon as possible,'
The business is appealing for anyone with information to contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesman confirmed the break-in had been reported to them and said inquiries into the incident were ongoing. No arrests have yet been made.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
