«Breaking News» The Apprentice: Kayode Damali SLAMS candidates that say 'Thank you Lord Sugar' after they get fired

Kayode Damali has been fired from The Apprentice - and he is not happy about it.

The 26-year-old public speaker - who has kept viewers entertained with his animated approach to business - was notably furious at the end of Wednesday night's episode of the BBC One series, after Lord Sugar decided he was responsible for the failure of the task.

Giving the business mogul daggers from across the boardroom, Kayode left the show muttering something under his breath, getting into the waiting taxi and telling the camera he was looking forward to getting home to see his cat.

'It's no disrespect to Lord Sugar. I want him to know I very much respect him for his achievements,' he told MailOnline. 'But those people that say "Thank You" after they're fired...  why thank him for firing you?

'It's like this Apprentice trend, to say thanks after getting fired. And to say "Thank you for the opportunity." I thank myself for the opportunity. I applied and got on the show. You need to thank you.'

Kayode was one of the Project Managers for the first task, leading the boys' team to victory. But since that, most of the boys have been fired, with just two left, Kayode the latest casualty of the boardroom.

'No, I#m not happy I got fired – it wasn’t me who was the failure in that task. I shouldn’t be sat here doing this interview!' he raged.

Thanks, but no thanks! 'It's no disrespect to Lord Sugar. I want him to know I very much respect him for his achievements,' he told MailOnline. 'But those people that say "Thank You" after they're fired... why thank him for firing you?'

'I got to Week seven out of 10, I was 10th out of 16 - that's not what I wanted and didn't think I should have been fired. The buck got passed. In that boardroom, everyone just goes along with what everyone else says.

'Everyone was trying to say it was me, point the finger, and so everyone else points the finger.'

Kayode found himself in the firing line with PM Tom Bunday and Sabrina Stocker.

'They both should have been fired! Sabrina and Tom! It should have been a double- firing!' Kayode fumed. 'Actually, any of them other than me. Sabrina spent two days on the corporate side and... what happened? For real. All jokes aside. What happened?'

Lord Sugar told Kayode that he was concerned he wouldn't 'get it' if faced with a business dilemma, should he have become his latest business partner.

'He's wrong about that!' Kayode asserted. 'I am not just good with the public or just good at sales, I’m also good behind closed doors as well.'

He also noted that he was 'the public's favourite' and admitted to keeping a close track of what is said about him on social media.

'I'm never one to turn down an opportunity,' he said, of ever appearing on TV again. 'But I won't do it for fame, it's to help me with my business.'

His next venture is a public speaking tour, which will take place in January 2019.

The Apprentice continues next Wednesday on BBC One.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
