The Chase's Anne Hegerty's co-star Mark Labbett has claimed her I'm A Celebrity medical bill rang in at a whopping £30,000.

Speaking on Tuesday's Good Morning Britain, the quiz master, 53, was again discussing the jungle favourite, 60, whose medical history has been thrown into the spotlight due to her Asperger's Syndrome and how she is coping on the show.

'They can’t take any risks. If they say she can’t do a trial for medical reasons, it has got nothing to do with her Asperger's or autism.'

He also praised how she tackled her first trial over the weekend when she was forced to drink a host of vile concoctions as well as dealing with slime, bugs and guts.

Mark said: 'She reacts terribly to the unexpected, the first trial threw her... She prepared for it and bossed it'

Meanwhile, Anne's manager David Hahn revealed the jungle is showing the real side to Anne - away from her frosty The Chase 'Governess' character.

He said: 'You are seeing the real Anne, she's a lovely lady, she's a wonderful human being, she’s an honest lady and wouldn’t do anything at all which is on the wrong side of anybody.'

Anne, who has been ruled out of challenges on medical grounds, has been at the centre of controversy after fans claimed she is being shown favoritism, with some viewers claiming The Chase star was drinking fizzy coke instead of fish eye juice.

In scenes aired during the Live Trial on Sunday night's installment of the reality show, Anne was seen clutching a large glass of brown liquid.

Eagle-eyed viewers spotted bubbles on the surface of the liquid, prompting them to question whether she was drinking Coca Cola or Pepsi.

An I'm A Celebrity spokesperson strongly refuted the allegations to MailOnline saying: 'This is categorically not true'.

The drink was made by blending fish eyes and then straining the remnants, giving it a dark brown appearance. One angry viewer shared: 'She is drinking coke cola it was a fizzy drink what @anne_hegerty was drinking. The show is a fix.'

Another posted: 'Anne Hegarty definitely drunk a glass of coke, there was no way she drunk it that easily #ImACeleb #AnneHegarty #livetrial'

'That drink Anne just had on I’m a celeb legit looked like coke', a third tweeted.

However, for every dubious tweet there were plenty more in support of Anne, who has become a firm fan favourite due to her bravery in camp, having opened up about her battle with autism.

Rushing to her defence, one viewer wrote: 'Didn't know coke stuck to the side of the glass and was dark green. Some of you really love to find an issue with everything Anne does. #ImACeleb'.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
