«Breaking News» Alita: Battle Angel new trailer pits tiny Rosa Salazar against giant murderous cyborgs

These fights look pretty unmatched — but not in favor of who you might think.

The latest trailer for Alita: Battle Angel dropped on Tuesday, showing tiny protagonist Rosa Salazar facing off against some daunting opponents, and leaving them in pieces.

Based on the iconic cyberpunk manga series, it tells the story of a cyborg with no memory found on a garbage heap and rebuilt by a kindly cybernetics doctor, Dr. Dyson Ido (Christoph Waltz).

The trailer shows the young Atila's first meeting with friend Hugo, played by Keean Johnson.

'Does it bother you that I'm not completely human?,' she asks him.

'You are the most human person I have ever met,' he replies.

'You can't remember... Doc found you in the Scrapyard, so you must be from up there,' he tells her, pointing up to the floating Tiphares, from where the junk in the Scrapyard continuously rains down, and to which the denizens of the Scrapyard have no access.

'And I'm just an insignificant girl,' she muses, before he shoots back: 'Yeah that's what they want you to think.'

The clip briefly introduces Jennifer Connolly's Chiren — Ido's ex-girlfriend — who spots Atila in the street and is fascinated by her cybernetic limbs.

Tortured by her mysterious origin, Alita lashes out at her adoptive father.

'I'm not your daughter,' she yells at him. 'I don't know what I am.'

'She is threatening the natural order of things,' says baddie Mahershala Ali to his bounty hunter. 'Tonight is not a game, it is a hunt. I need you to destroy a girl called Alita.'

The girl does get a chance to face him down however at the trailer's close.

'You made the biggest mistake of your life,' she tells him.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
