«Breaking News» Family of hikers including a three-year-old girl are rescued after spending 28 hours stuck in snow

A family of five from Washington states, including a toddler, had to be rescued this week after spending 28 hours trapped in deep snow after an ill-fated hike.

Peter Browne, 32, his wife Josephine,  his brother, the brother’s girlfriend and their three-year-old daughter, Aryanna, on Monday parked their Toyota pickup truck at Dingford Creek trail head in North Bend and hiked six miles to the Goldbyer Hot Springs area.

At 7.30pm that evening, the family headed back to their vehicle, planning to return home that night, but they never made it back.

The next morning, the King County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call from a concerned family member reporting Browne and the others missing.

‘There was significant snowfall overnight which would have made driving out of that area in a vehicle nearly impossible,’ according to a press release from the sheriff’s office.

At around 4.15pm on Tuesday, sheriff’s deputies and King County Search and Rescue personnel, equipped with a heavy-duty vehicle known as a Snowcat, made their way to the lost hikers’ snowbound pickup truck and found all five of them safe inside.

Browne and his companions had found themselves trapped by the snow in an area without any cellphone reception.

Fortunately for the hikers, their Toyota had a full tank of gas, allowing them to keep the heat on for warmth. They also had enough food and water to sustain them while awaiting rescue. No injuries were reported.

In an interview with KOMO News on Wednesday, Browne said he and the others, including his three-year-old niece, spent more than 12 hours on Monday trudging through deep snow to reach the safety of their vehicle.

‘The anxiety the whole time was just like, “is Aryanna going to be able to stay alive?”’ Browne recalled.

The man said he tucked the little girl into his snowsuit for warmth during the long, cold trek, adding, 'failure was not an option.'

After finally reaching their vehicle, the family attempted to drive away but their route was blocked by a downed tree.

The hikers managed to cut down the obstacle and move it out of their way, but their efforts came to naught when the Toyota landed in a ditch.

In retrospect, Browne said he regrets not paying a closer attention to the weather forecast and taking his young niece on the hike in inclement weather.booo

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
