«Breaking News» Widow of man shot after mistaking the gunman's car for an Uber sues country club for wrongful death

The widow of a man who was shot outside of an Atlanta country club is suing the venue for failing to keep its guests safe.

Molly Broder filed a wrongful death suit this week after her husband, Christian Broder, was shot in the stomach outside of Capital City Country Club after a July 7, 2018 wedding, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution

'Capital City Club negligently failed to act on knowledge of prior crimes, and the surrounding high-crime area,' her lawsuit states, 'and failed to act to correct, prevent, or warn of prior criminal activity and the dangerous environment of the premises and approaches.'

The lawsuit requests a jury trial and unspecified damages.

'Capital City's negligence was a cause in fact and a proximate cause of Christian Broder's injuries and death,' Molly Broder's suit contends.

The legal filing argues that the venerable country club did not deploy enough proper security measures despite awareness of previous crimes being committed in the area.

Christian, a restaurant executive from Washington DC, was waiting with a group of friends after the wedding for an Uber ride when two men pulled up in a white Dodge Charger.

The group approached the car, confusing the Charger for their ride, when one of the men, Jayden Myrick, got out from the passenger side, pulled out a handgun and ordered them to hand over their belongings.

The group gave up their phones, wallets and other valuables, and the suspect returned to his car, according to police.

That was when the Broder followed the suspect and tried to get him to return his license.

Police say that was when Myrick opened fire, shooting Broder in the stomach.

The gunman then got into the car and fled the scene.

Investigators believe Jayden Myrick, 18, the suspected shooter was with Torrus Fleetwood, 19, the getaway driver.  Both were indicted along with two 15-year-olds, Kevan Reeves and Montavious Lovejoy.

All four are believed to be affiliated with a gang, according to the Fulton County District Attorney's Office.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
