Uber Rewards, which also lets users earn points from food deliveries, is available in nine cities, including Miami, Denver, Tampa, New York City, Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, Atlanta, San Diego and all of New Jersey.
It's expected to spread nationwide during the next six months and could expand to give users points for scooters and bikes.
To entice users toward the service, it will factor in their last six months of activity on the app to give users perks when they sign up for Uber Rewards.
There are four different tiers in Uber Rewards, including Blue, Gold, Platinum and Diamond.
Users who sign up start as a Blue member, earning them $5 in 'Uber cash' for every 500 points they earn.
For example, users earn 1 point for every $1 spent on Uber POOL and Uber Eats, while 2 points are earned for every $1 spent on UberX and 3 points are earned for every $1 spent on Premium rides.

To reach Diamond level, users have to accrue 7,500 points, which can be reached if they order an UberX 8 times per week, Uber Eats once a week or Uber Black to the airport once a month
After racking up 500 points, users join the Gold rewards level, which gives them flexible cancellations and $5 Uber Cash for every 500 points earned.
Users who earn 2,500 points are eligible for the Platinum rewards level.
This includes price protection on a route between two of your favorite places even if there's traffic or surge pricing, priority pickups at airports and more.
Diamond rewards level is reached after 7,500 points and gives users a dedicated phone line, complimentary upgrades, access to Uber's highest-rated drivers and free delivery on three Uber Eats orders every six months.
Points rack up over a six month period and if users level up in that time span, they can take advantage of the benefits in the existing period, as well as the next six months.
If they earn fewer than the required points in a six month period, they'll be bumped down into a lower tier of the rewards program.

The company plans to make it available to more riders next year but would not give details.
Riders also get points for every dollar spent that can be used for discounted rides and upgrades.
Rewards progress can be tracked inside the app.
Lyft said it's looking into adding more perks, like double-points days to incentivize people to hail a car, or access to more experienced drivers.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
