«Breaking News» Strictly's Kate Silverton is seen climbing a pier wall as she seems to keep promise to jump into sea

She vowed to jump in the sea if she reached the coveted Blackpool Tower Ballroom leg of this year's Strictly Come Dancing.

And Kate Silverton looked set to fulfil that promise as she was seen clambering over a pier wall in the Lancashire seaside town after arriving on Thursday. 

The journalist, 48, was in high spirits as she sat atop the wall with a mug of coffee in hand, and took in the view ahead of rehearsals.

The BBC reporter banished the winter chill in an oversized black jumper, which she shrugged over loose trousers. 

Kate covered her brunette cropped locks with a grey woolly hat, a purple printed scarf and she shielded her eyes with a pair of stylish shades.

She completed her look with a pair of silver shoes, and she carried a matching jacket over her arms before sitting on it while on the wall.

Appearing on Lorraine on Wednesday, Kate revealed she planned to keep to her pledge that if she and her pro partner Aljaz Skorjanec made it to the Blackpool round they'd jump in the sea.

She admitted: 'I’m all up for [jumping in the sea], however, last night, I’m still barely together with my steps.

'So there is a lot of pressure on this week, so I’ve been told we have to get everything done before I contemplate anything else other than dancing. 

'At the moment all we are focusing on is the American Smooth. You can see the progression... as a viewer I like to see that too.

The journalist and documentary maker, 31, was dressed in form-fitting gym gear.

Graeme Swann was in a talkative mood as he was seen chatting away with Aljaz as they left their hotel together.

The stars will take to take to the iconic ballroom on Saturday night at 6.45pm.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
