«Breaking News» Strictly's Craig Revel Horwood admits Ashley Roberts is 'one of the best dancers' to appear on show

Craig Revel Horwood admitted that he thinks Ashley Roberts is 'one of the best dancers' to ever appear on Strictly Come Dancing.

The judge, 53, gave his opinions on the celebrity competitors to commemorate the show's halfway mark, in a feature published in the Radio Times on Monday.

Speaking about the former Pussycat Dolls member, 37, he admitted: 'She's one of the best dancers I think we've ever seen on the show.'

Though he was quick to add: 'She’s at the top of the leader board all the time! That might discourage people from voting for her.'

Craig then went on to discuss journalist Stacey Dooley, 31, and he revealed: 'I can see her winning.

'She has a lot of the audience on her side, she’s very popular and so far she’s getting through this with flying colours.'

He went on to explain that he believed that the decision to cast Joe Sugg, 27, in the show was 'brilliant' because it means the show draws in a completely different group of viewers to usual.

Craig explained: 'I thought it was brilliant of the BBC to ask an internet star like Joe to take part. We’d never done that before. 

'I didn’t know who he was to begin with – but it’s brought a whole new audience to Strictly, which is just wonderful.'

Discussing the kissing scandal between Seann Walsh and Katya Jones, Craig said he thought it only swept the nation because of 'a lack of news.'

Katya and Seann were spotted kissing in the street on a night out last month, despite Katya being married to Neil Jones and Seann being in a long-term relationship to actress Rebecca Humphries at the time. 

And said of the 32-year-old comedian's return: '[He] came back after that week with flying colours, and it probably helped push him a bit harder. 

'Like any professional, you have to leave whatever’s going on behind that door and just perform.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
