There has been much speculation over who will take over the role of James Bond from Daniel Craig - and Richard Madden has said he would love to have a go.
Talking to GQ, the 32-year-old Bodyguard star tries on the iconic spy's suit for size as he walks away from the wreckage of a car.
He said: 'I'm more than flattered to be mentioned, for people to consider putting me in that role. I'm very flattered and thankful. It's a really brilliant thing to be in.'
The name's Madden: Bodyguard star Richard, 32, has said he would be flattered to be chosen to play the next James Bond as he tries on the secret agent's suit for size for GQ
A hard act to follow: Daniel Craig has played Bond since 2006 when he appeared in Casino Royale (a still from the movie)
Refusing to rule out that he has been offered the role, he said: ' I don't want to curse anything by saying anything. I think that's the curse of that.
'If you talk about it, you'll curse it.'
Richard, who admits to being a big fan of the movies and the books did give the element of doubt that he will be the next secret agent to be sipping on martini and saving lives.
He said: 'This is what happens with all these shows, like Tom Hiddleston in The Night Manager. Then there's the next one. I'm the next one.
'Everyone just loves the rumour mill on that topic. I'm just the current one. There'll be a different one next week.'
Could it be? Refusing to rule out that he has been offered the role, he said: ' I don't want to curse anything by saying anything. I think that's the curse of that'
Also in the running so far has been Idris Elba and Tom Hardy.
Actress Lily James was also asked by the publication on whether she thought Richard would be a fine replacement for Craig.
She said: 'He'd be great! It would be great having a Scottish Bond. There's a cheekiness to him that works really well with Bond.
'That wryness and glint behind the eyes. You don't know what's going to come next.'
Game changer: Richard admitted that he considered giving up acting following his starring role as war veteran David Budd in The Bodyguard
And his Game Of Thrones co-star Kit Harington said: 'I don't want to curse him. Any time anyone starts to get rumoured for Bond, it becomes a curse on them.
'And the reason I don't want to do that is that I actually do think he would make a very good Bond. He's got this natural charm.
'He's proven with Bodyguard that he has that muscle for it. And wouldn't it be nice to go back to a Scottish Bond?'
Richard also spoke about his role as Robb Stark Game Of Thrones role during the interview.
Sad: After hanging up his cloak of Game Of Thrones' Robb Stark, he said: 'I sobbed and sobbed on that Friday. I was hysterical actually. I was so exhausted. I cried all the way home'[
He said: 'I sobbed and sobbed on that Friday. I was hysterical actually. I was so exhausted. I cried all the way home.
'The air stewardess kept asking if I was OK. And then people moved and the rows behind me moved. I was sobbing and covered in blood. I looked like I'd murdered someone and got on that flight.'
He also admitted that he considered giving up acting following his starring role in The Bodyguard.
He said: 'Yeah. I finished Bodyguard and didn't want to act again. Really. It had taken so much out of me physically, mentally and personally.
'I didn't see any of my friends for months, unless they came to set. It was just relentless. You didn't get a day off.
'My character doesn't get a second off. It took more out of me that anything else I've done.'
And it sounds like if he does play Bond, he will have his work cut out for him.
Daniel Craig has previously spoken out about the gruelling role and famously said he would rather 'slash his wrists' than play Bond again.
And this was before he agreed to step into the famed 007 shoes for a fifth time, netting an eye-watering pay check for his reprisal.
The is said to be picking up £50million for his role in the next Bond film, which will be released on October, 25, 2019.

The mammoth salary beats the £37million the Hollywood hunk reportedly made for Spectre.
Speaking in 2015, when asked about returning to the role, Craig told the Guardian: 'Now? I’d rather … slash my wrists. No, not at the moment. Not at all. That’s fine. I’m over it at the moment. We’re done. All I want to do is move on.
'I don’t know what the next step is. I’ve no idea. Not because I’m trying to be cagey. Who the f**k knows? At the moment, we’ve done it. I’m not in discussion with anybody about anything. If I did another Bond, it would only be for the money.'
In March, director Danny Boyle teased he was working on the Bond 25 script. He said: 'We are working on a script right now. And it all depends on that really.
'I am working on a Richard Curtis script at the moment. We hope to start shooting that in six or seven weeks. Then Bond would be right at the end of the year. But we are working on them both right now.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
