Former NFL player Charlie Rogers has been arrested in Aberdeen, New Jersey for unlawful possession of a weapon – specifically a sword – stalking, and for allegedly making terroristic threats.

Rogers allegedly brandished the sword on October 5 during an incident at the Matawan-Aberdeen Middle School, according to the Asbury Park Press. A hearing for Rogers has yet to be scheduled, but he is currently being held at the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in Freehold, New Jersey.

The exact circumstances of the incident at Matawan-Aberdeen Middle School have yet to be reported.

This is the latest arrest for the 42-year-old Rogers, who was recently banned from his role as a youth football coach in Matawan after allegedly leaving a profanity-laced voicemail for the parent of an 11-year-old player on a rival team.

Rogers primarily played cornerback for the Buffalo Bills, Houston Texans, and Miami Dolphins over his five-year career. A fifth-round pick of the Seattle Seahawks in 1999, Rogers was named a First-team All-Pro as a punt returner at the end of his rookie season

According to the Asbury Park Press, Rogers threatened to send his own players after the child until he was substituted out of an upcoming game against his team.

Rogers was also fired as offensive coordinator at St. John Vianney High School.

The player Rogers was allegedly threatening had transferred from Matawan to play for the East Brunswick-based Saint Bart's Buffalos. In the voicemail Rogers left for the player's dad, Chris Schuster, Rogers allegedly threatened: 'We are going to blitz every (expletive) play until your guy comes out of the game.'

The game between the two teams occurred without incident on October 7, according to the Asbury Park Press.

'You know I'm pissed off about this (expletive) right here,' Rogers said, according to the Asbury Park Press. 'And I'm telling you, I swear to God, we are going to blitz, we don't care if we give up a badge or not, we're blitzing everybody. We are blitzing every single (expletive) play. And (inaudible) that it's a bad (expletive) move, and I don't like it, and it's a stupid move and we are going to blitz every single (expletive) play. Hang that (expletive) up, Hill … every play!'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
