A disgraced judge allegedly stabbed his estranged wife to death, just two years after he was released from prison after beating her in front of their children.
Former Cuyahoga Common Pleas Judge Lance Mason, 51, was arrested on suspicion of murder in the death of 45-year-old Aisha Fraser Mason.
Officers arrived at Aisha's home in Shaker Heights around 9.30am on Saturday after receiving a report of a domestic dispute.

Mason tried to flee the murder scene in a back Audi SUV but stuck a police SUV. Both he and another officer were injured and hospitalized, according to Cleveland.com.
Aisha's horrific death comes just two years after Mason served nine months in prison for beating her in a moving car while their daughters were in the backseat.

Mason punched Aisha 20 times, including several times in the face, bit and choked her, and slammed her head against the dashboard of his car five times.
The beating was so severe that he broke Aisha's orbital bone and she needed reconstructive plastic surgery on her face.
Aisha called 911 during the beating and said Mason had thrown her from their SUV and that she feared he would hurt their daughters.
A member of Mason's family called police around the same time and said she feared he was going to commit suicide.
Mason, a former Ohio state senator, surrendered to police that same day and admitted he had weapons in his bedroom and attic.
Police confiscated two semi-automatic rifles, including one with a scope, two shotguns, a 50-shell shotgun belt, two handguns, and a sword.
They also found 2,300 live rounds of various calibers, 500 shotgun slugs, four canisters of smoke grenades, a bulletproof vest, and a Jaguar knife.
Mason pleaded guilty to felonious assault and domestic violence and was sentenced to two years in prison. He was granted judicial release nine months later.

The prosecutor of Mason's case said it was an example of how sometimes 'good people make bad decisions'. The court administrator claimed he had 'no history of violence or desire to hurt anyone'.
Mason petitioned for an early release, including a letter to Aisha in which he apologized and asked for her forgiveness.
'My responsibility was to love and protect you,' the letter read. 'Instead of loving, protecting and providing for you and our daughters, I have provided a terrible example, and exposed you to rage and violence.'
Aisha filed for divorce two days after the attack, citing gross neglect of duty and extreme cruelty. The divorce case was still pending at the time of her murder.

She also won a $150,000 judgement in a civil case after she sued Mason for damages in the attack.
Mason was barred by law from ever being a judge again, but Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson hired him as a minority business development director after he was released from prison.

As of Saturday, Mason had been fired.
'I extend my deepest condolences to the family of Ms Aisha Fraser, especially to her children,' Jackson said in a statement.

The Shaker Heights Teachers' Association have organized a candlelight vigil for Aisha and set up a GoFundMe for her two daughters, aged eight and 11.
'She touched so many of our children’s lives and will be deeply missed,' Superintendent Stephen Wilkins said in a statement.
'Her loss is unexpected and the impact of this news on our entire school community is unimaginable and profound.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
