«Breaking News» Cheryl's track Love Made Me Do It 'falls out of Spotify's Top 200' but beats Liam Payne on iTunes

Cheryl's new comeback track Love Made Me Do It has 'fallen out of Spotify's Top 200 in the UK chart' just two days after its initial release.

The former Girls Aloud star sent fans into overdrive as she released her first single in four years on Friday, with Love Made Me Do It entering the Spotify chart at number 68.

It now seems to have fallen out of the top 200 songs listed by Spotify, but still stands at number five on the iTunes download chart - one position higher than Cheryl's ex Liam Payne and his track Polaroid.

According to The Sun, Cheryl's track received over 98,000 streams in the 24 hours it was released, subsequently dropping to number 161.

Within two days of its release, it now can't be seen on the music streaming site's chart for the UK - however, Cheryl's track appears to be the fifth most popular download on iTunes and she currently sits at number eight in the mid-week chart.

Love Made Me Do It was the second most played track on Spotify in the days that followed its release and currently number 28 on Hot Hits UK - the music streaming site's biggest playlist.

Cheryl has also received a number of streams from YouTube, after choosing to release the music video for Love Made Me Do It at the same time as the single.

MailOnline have contacted a representative for Cheryl for comment.

On the live iTunes chart, Cheryl sits at number five with Love Made Me Do It, while Ariana Grande is still holding the number one spot with her new single Thank U, Next.

She has, however, taken over her ex-boyfriend Liam in the charts, as his track Polaroid - with Jonas Blue and Lennon Stella is positioned at number six.

Reports claimed that Cheryl was supposed to collaborate with Liam on the track - providing the female vocals that have now been sung by Lennon.

Jonas Blue revealed his hopes for both Liam and Cheryl to feature on the track, as he told Daily Star: 'About a year ago I said to my manager that I would love to do a collaboration with them both and I reckon it would have been Polaroid.

'It would have been perfect as I knew when I wrote the song I could hear Liam’s voice on it.'

Cheryl and Liam announced their split in July - just over a year after welcoming their son Bear. They first began dating in 2016 following her divorced from ex-husband Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini.

The duo welcomed Bear in March 2017, but called time on their relationship in the months that followed their son's first birthday.

Cheryl has candidly spoken about her split from Liam while promoting her comeback to the charts in recent weeks. She said her former boyfriend Payne had wanted to be a father from 16, and was happy to have a family but 'it didn't work out'.

The former couple first met on The X Factor in 2008 when Liam was just 14 and Cheryl was a judge. She has since claimed that Liam is the 'only man to remain faithful' to her and she is content with being 'single' now she has the 'man of her dreams', son Bear.

Proving there's no bad blood between the exes, Liam was seen congratulating Cheryl on her musical comeback as she released new track Love Made Me Do It, along with the single's music video on Friday.

He tweeted: 'Congratulations @CherylOfficial on your first release in 4 years can’t wait for everyone to hear the rest.'

Cheryl, meanwhile, was left overwhelmed by the support she received from fans. She tweeted: 'I CAN NOT BELIEVE THIS!! thank you so much.'

She penned her new track alongside BFF and former Girls Aloud bandmate Nicola Roberts, with the song appearing to hit out at her past relationships.

Many believed the track took aim at ex Liam - however, Cheryl has since set the record straight, insisting Love Made Me Do It was written before she and Liam had split and it isn't about a particular ex of hers.

She said: 'All the music and all the songs that I’ve got ready were done way before we split – none of them are about anybody. I wasn’t sat writing a love poem to anyone or about anybody.

'It’s something that anyone who’s been in love will be able to relate to in some way or another. It’s catchy and it’s fun. It’s not about one specific person or relationship, it’s more about me being the lover of love that I am. I just love love!'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
