Among the thousands of people who have been displaced by the California wildfires are people seeking treatment in expensive rehab centers in Malibu and along the coast who were forced to flee their chosen facilities while in the grips of detoxing.
Patients from Riviera Recovery Center, Passages and Creative Care were all forced to evacuate when the Woolsey fire crept towards them last week.
Another center, Reconnect, which helps patients deal with trauma, was also forced to evacuate.
Some of the buildings survived in tact while others were partially burned.
The centers' directors have since told of their pride of the patients who were already fragile when the distressing fire hit.
Creative Care was one of the multiple celebrity-adored rehab clinics which had to evacuate last week as the Woolsey fire approached. Its premises are shown above before the flames hit
'It was a remarkable, remarkable feat, considering the number of people who were on the road, and the panic, and the feeling that the fire was at your neck' Farrah Khaleghi, who works at Creative Care, told The Los Angeles Times.
'Through all of the ash and fear, our clients and staff were so, so solid,' she added.
Jose Hernandez, who owns Riviera Recovery Center, went back once it was safe to retrieve patients' belongings.
'It was the scariest thing. They’re processing it.
'They’re coming closer to understanding it. They’re working through what they need to work through.
'If they can make it through this, they can make it through anything,' he said of his patients.
Chris Prentiss, who is the co-founder of Passages, said staff and patients alike worked together to work through the trauma.
'Everyone stepped up, even the ones who were going through serious detox.
'Our clients have been absolutely marvelous. They rallied.
The Woolsey fire has left three people dead and destroyed dozens of homes in Malibu
Passages, one of the better known centers in Malibu, was forced to evacuate but was not damaged

'They came here. They did their individual sessions every day, and they proved to themselves that they were real champions,' he said.
Malibu is a safe haven for the rich and famous and has long been a rehab destination because of its stunning beach setting.
The Woolsey fire has torched many celebrity homes and neighborhood locales.
Three people have died as a result of that fire.
While devastating, most residents who were at risk were able to make it out alive because they were given enough time to evacuate.
Residents of Paradise, California, have however complained that they did not receice enough warning.
Forty-eight people there died and at least 100 remain missing.

Patients from Riviera Recovery Center, Passages...
It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
